Remarks

College is new. It started in 2008, faculty try everything for us but our college as it is a branch of university, is dependent solely on university. So anything they want to buy have to be through university and that takes time. University is out-dated too.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I think my syllabus or any engineering syllabus is more or less out-dated and more theory based. There are 2 unit tests or minors in a semester, with the semester exam or the major exam. All the three exams are accountable for CGPA.

Placement Experience

0.5

The placements in my college are minimal and it seems like the faculty doesn't even try to collaborate with companies. No, we have to find our own internship. The college doesn't provide one for us. Most of the internships we do are without stipend or any sort of payment.

College Events

0.5

1. Symphony, This is the only annual event that gets celebrated in our college and that too, not in our campus but in university's campus. We don't have a auditorium that big that can accommodate all the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is outrageous. As there is caste system, different castes have to pay different fees. Actual fee for college is around ?85,000 but some have to pay the whole thing, some people pay half and some people pay just 5% as fee and get their whole education done in 20% of a single years fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship facility is two step. First if you are in a category or Caste and you have 50% reservation. Then half the fee will be paid by government. And then we get scholarships for hostel accommodation and the government provides it too.

Campus Life

4

Extracurricular activities are minimum limited to cricket matches once in a year. No other activities. Practical or experimental labs are at below par condition and as it is a university department, it takes time to purchase new equipment, sometimes even years.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are very helpful and we have a good network. Alumni network is not that strong but still once in a while students get good work opportunities due to them. As it is a fairly new college, alumni are not that experienced as well.

Admission

In Maharashtra, there is MHT-CET for admissions in engineering college. You get a cut-off marks for every college. My marks fit into vut off for this college and then I got the admission for this college.

Faculty

4

The faculty is experienced but they got not time for teaching because of the additional administrative responsibilities. But lectures are more or less regular but still the syllabus doesn't get completed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
