Remarks

Positive remarks as the college location was in the heart of the city. Communication to the campus was accessible from any part of the city. Bus transport was also provided by the college and the busses ply through out the city

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is very practical and consist of 8 semester. 4 years duration. You have to achieve the minimum GPA to qualify for the next semester. Each semester consists of practical papers and viva voce.

Placement Experience

Placement opportunities are there for those who are eligible for the criteria set by the visiting companies. There were 10 off campus interviews scheduled in the year 2007 but allowed to appear on off campus through out the state.however there was no internship opportunities provided.

College Events

Events were celebrated in college campus with great excitement. We have annual functions, religious functions, sports events, cultural, science exhibitions, defences related activities, competitions of all domains.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is Feasible and as per the government norms. Students can pay the fees in installments as well. There is no pressure on students. Quota system was there where students from different background are given additional discounts as per government norms

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes college provided scholarships to students who score good Mark's and bring laurels to the college. A scholarship prize of rs 25000 was given to a student who got gold medal in university level sports event.

Campus Life

Labs were well equipped with all the instruments and equipments for learning in a practical way. Sports was always given the priority so that student interested in sports activities should not be left out.

Hostel Facilities

No I was a day scolar and was staying in my own house. However hostel facilities are awesome. There were three common halls and three dining halls with dining tables and chairs for the students to sit comfortably and eat. Bathrooms and living rooms were cleaned every day.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Yes they are helpful and help the students in personal and professional development. They gave the idea and exposed students to cope in the corporate environment. They helped students to solve real time problems

Admission

Through orissa jee entrance exam. I got the valid rank and secured my seat at padmanava college of engineering, rourkela, odisha. The entrance exam criteria is that the student should be a science stream student

Faculty

Faculty are all master graduates and fulfill the criteria of the university. They gave students a practical approach to learn and made students job ready once they clear their eight semesters. Very nice and intellectual.

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Students after completing 6th semester are given chances to do internship and convert it to ppo A total of around 60 companies visited the campus last year. For core branches tata power ,jsw offers a lot of jobs in tech roles tcs capegemini and other service based companies hires. Also cisco hires via there hiring process. Student have also grabbed placement at amazon and ib like credit suisse and goldman sachs previously. Around 60% students are getting placed every year Last year a total of 650 offers are made. So its better to get a job via campus placement rather than trying off-campus

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college are good but not great. Th overall performance of students getting placement from every branch course combined is more than seventy percent. But the percentage in branch to branch respective wise is different , as Computer science engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering and Electrical Engineering have higher placement rates than any other courses. From Seventh semester students became eligible for sitting in placements. You can say from the start of Fourth year students sit in placements. Many companies visit and offer placements to our students but the big companies are TCS( Tata consultancy services) , Infosys, Adani Limited , Reliance Limited , Tata Power and Co.. The highest package offered to our branch course ( Electrical Engineering ) Is 13 LPA by Tata Power. The percentage of students getting placed by Electrical Engineering is pretty good and is 77%. Overall percentage of students from all branches is 72%. My plans after getting the degree is simple. I am preparing for placements and also for gate exam . I want to give myself a chance . I will try to get a big placement from a big company as I want . If that doesn't go according to my plan I will try to qualify gate exam and will do Masters in Technology in a. Higher Institute.
