Likes
- The main thing that made me join the university was the hospital being the integral part of the institution for clinical experience amd since the class size is not so big, it is easy to look after each and every student
- The faculty is well equipped with knowledge and teaching experience, they are very cooperative in case you've doubts and clear them and they are also polite.
- The campus is ragging free and in my 2 years of degree in this college i have not heard of even a single case of ragging, the juniors experiemce atmost care and even the initial interactions involve a faculty member.
Dislikes
- There might be a slight partiality between mbbs and paramedical courses
- The syllabus doesnot work according to the schedule that have been decided in advance
- Sometimes the professors or the pgs who are supposed to take classes also donot attend the classes
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is very good. The syllabus is highly relavant and the faculty makes sure we get the clinic knowledge as well, it has all types of systems from cassettes to digital systems that makes it easy and highly knowledgeable also increases the spectrum of what one can learn, the classrooms can be lilttle better according to the size of 30 . The exams are frequemt and timely conducted and are easy to avg of difficulty basis
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is submitted in two portions ( per semester) and the annual fee is 40000 odd sem is 25000 while the even sem is 15000, this includes exam fee as well, 1 semester fees are 30000 that includes admission fee, registration fee etc. The fee depends on whether you've opted hostels and mess and the fee depends on the category, state bonifide
Campus Life
The hospital holds several medical related days like radiology day, nurses week, sports day, med olympics etc once a year, There are all kinds of books present in the library easy for all courses to go through. The campus includes a reading room for self study and department libraries in each and every department. The university is very serious about health and sports , however there are no fests that are organized and the student welfare committee is working on that.
Admission
I decided to choose devbhoomi university in dehradun for the same course but i chose this college because of the peaceful environment, the college is located in nature and also the hospital being the integral part for better clinical lessons i chose this college. I didn't get rejected from any other college because i didnot apply to much colleges . The admission process of my college includes, filling the admission form and documents, clearimg fees and attemdimg orientation. The college is open and doesn't require any eligibilty exam. And the overall admission process was smooth for me
Faculty
For every 90 students there are multiple professors also there are doctors, pgs to teach u directly hence increasimg the efficiency and the spectrum of knowledge that you gain. The faculty is very cooperative and will help you in case pf any problem. The exams are easy amd per sem you have to give 2 exams that are mpt and finals these also includes periodic tests that are conducted frequently.
Night Life
Simce the campus is located in a remote area there is no night activities however it is close to chandigarh and students hang out there, the campus includes a gym, multiple cafeterias a library to issue books during college hours and a reading room that is opened upto 7 pm for extra studies. The hostel timings are generally 8 pm for girls And the college timings are from 8.50 to 4.10. I'd not say the locality is safe to be at night
