Likes
- In my branch, they provided higher configuration computers, especially when I did Data Science Lab, Machine Learning Labs, the higher end systems provided and all computer labs are air-conditioned also. so I would give 5 star rating to infrastructure
- Teachers supported me to learn Python from scratch, that was helpful to me to get the internship. My professor advised me to post the projects regularly in GitHub and Linkedin. Initially I didnt do that, but later I realised. Such support is good.
- For every 15 students, a faculty mentor is allocated. My mentor keep on insists me to attend so many events in other colleges and do lots of online courses in NPTEL, Coursera, ICTACT etc. Now I have 15 Certifications in third year. thanks to him.
Dislikes
- only three sports hours per week is given, it shall be increased. Its kind of fun to play with classmates in the college.
- 75% mandatory attendance requirement to write semester exams.
- They give only 30 days internship in Odd semester and 45 days in Even semester, but I need 60 days per semester. Company pays 18K to 20K, if I get at least 3 months internship in a year, then i shall pay tuition fees from this money.
Course Curriculum Overview
As i told earlier, syllabus is updated. teachers are also keep on studying and updating to teach this syllabus. For the internal assessment, we have to do real time projects, that gives me exposure to learn software. When i joined this college, it was not autonomous, i think they got it in 2024. i studied first year in Anna University syllabus, second and thrird years in Autonnomous syllabus. After autonomous, the teachers gave us lots of activities, thats cool.
Internships Opportunities
Every sem they provide internship opportunites. Who ever intrested shall go. 15K to 20K internship we are getting. in some sompanies, food and accomodation also provided. i also went to three companies in last two years. got good packet money and even i changed my phone also.
Placement Experience
From 7th sem, we shall attend placement drives. But we have a limit of 2 offer letters. if we got two offers, then we are not allowed to attend further interviews. Big companies like Infosys, TCS and Wipro not coming to the campus but lot of next level companies are coming.
Fees and Financial Aid
Admission Fees : 10000 Tuition Fees : 30000 per semester, not increased every year. For Present First Year batch, Rs.50000 per Semester. The fees fixed while admission is retained throughout the entire course. Development Fees : No Value Added Course : 1500 to 2000 per semester Exam Fees : Appx.1500 per semester Note Book, Record Note, Observation Note : Appx.1500 per semester
Campus Life
Annual cultural fest is good. Every department conducts symposiums and conferences also. Lots of clubs there, but i am part of Coding club. Myself and my friends recently won Hackathon. I am also part of NSS, in which we will go to the near by village and do some help to them. Sometimes i used to take videos and posted in insta also.
Hostel Facilities
For Hostel i pay 30k per semester. 3 or 4 persons will be in room. in some large room 5 or 6 persons. i think two rooms are like that. Food is ok. Not bad. Two times chicken per week, 5 days egg, everyday snacks and tea. its ok. we can not get these from outside hotel for this rate. AC rooms available but little bit costly. 45000 per sem. i stay in Non AC room.
Admission
i selected this college thrrough Tamilnadu govt counselling. I preferred trichy region. For my Cutoff, Compared to other college, this college fees is less and also i heard they provide better placements also. Before choosing the college in counselling, i visited the college and met some students also. they also gave good feedback.
Faculty
Faculty members mixed, seniors of age 50s also there and of 30s also there. They are mostly supportive, but they are strict on attendance. As our college is autonomous, they keep on update the syllabus frequently. I think they pick the latest content and modify the syllabus. Though it is difficult, when i compare the syllabus with my friends of other colleges, i proud that i am ahead of them. Three internal exams are conducted. Actually they provide Question Bank with answers for all subjects, if we study them completely, then its easy to pass in internal. The problem is i usually study before last exam, thats why sometimes i failed in internal exams.
Night Life
We usually go to trichy city for hangout, which is good for street food. A river and Dam locations also there, but we did not explored. we should return to college hostel before 9PM. Gym is available, i didnt used that much. Basically we used to go to cinemas and hotels on sundays.
