- Because the campus being huge if your classes are in the main campus then travelling will take some time
- There s lots of people who indulge into illegal stuff and bring down the college s reputation
- Some staff are not good at teaching and even after repeated complaints no actions were taken
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is quite good. Personally for me the curriculum was upto standard and included many modern ideas. Some parts of it though are still from the old times were there's no improvement in core subjects. You ll have plenty of time in between exams for internals so as long as you don't procrastinate you ll be good
Fees and Financial Aid
If you write the SRM entrance exam you have the option to select from their different colleges and you can choose from different branches based on the cutoff and your rank. So based on the chosed branch the fees may increase or decrease. Top rankers in the entrance exam get free scholarship for four years
Campus Life
Recently milan was conducted whereany celebrities have come and it's an yearly event which is very great and there s aarush which is for technical events. You have a huge Library of five stories and have access to it at all times. The technical provisions are like ac s Digital boards and etc .
Admission
I ve applied to shiv nadar delhi and chennai and got seats in both colleges but I ve wanted to join in SRM based on its leniency on students and other factors. I did not get rejected in any application. So you ll need to get a good rank on SRM jee which is the main criteria and there s also mangement quotas available
Faculty
So the semesters you have varies by the branch you take. There s even and odd semester and mostly they are very similar The teacher to student ratio is like 1:50 it varies depending on the branch. Our class personally has 62 students with lateral entries joining recently The internals are in the hands of the professors and are taken either with small tests and other activities. The sem exam is the main one which contains the whole syllabus
Interview Experience
The group discussion usually contains topics sensitive to the society currently and the ongoing issues in the world. Srm in particular doesn't have an interview during the admission After your seat is allocated you can come and collect your credentials
Night Life
The night life is too good. You ll have a lake near the entrance of the college and you can walk around it. There are many gyms cafeterias and etc available in and around the campus. The hostel timing for boys and girls are different. For boys it's 9pm And girls it's 6 pm
