Course Curriculum Overview
I chose CSE core Because it contains All the other courses And it's the Best. We have been taught Graphics design and mechanical workshops welding carpentry and real life based problems which make us capable to face any challenge. Biology can be taught well. The frequency of exams is alright. We have exams every month, so theres no holiday to go home.
Internships Opportunities
Microsoft offered a python course recently! Even google provides you with internship which gives you stipend of 2,50,000. The projects are to be done within a time period. Python projects, mini projects with java, and more.
Placement Experience
From 3rd year that is, 5th semester students become eligible for placements. Amazon, intel, jP morgan, etc companies have been in srm for placement offers. Our highest package was 1.2 cr. SRM provides 100% incampus placements! After getting the degree, i would probably do masters with a job and some music as a side profession.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly fees for my tuition course is 4,50,000 which has now increased to 4,60,000. I live in a hostel and the fees of this hostel is 2,35,000. Average yearly fee for my course with hostel..is around 7,00,000! Hostel fee also inlcudes mess charges. We also have exam fees! We were charged around 3,500 overall for all the subjects in each end semester exam. My batchmates with specialization pay 50,000 less than the core ones do. There are many internships and hackathons provided by the college! Even the events are organized, in which famous celebs can be seen! Though coming from a north indian background, i find it difficult with the weather change here and the food they provide, but its been a year here, and im able to manage now. Everything seems good!!
Campus Life
There are many event and festivals held in college. Aarush, milan like events are held in semesters. While onam, pongal, diwali...these are celebrated in campus with great enthusiasm. People enjoy themselves and take pictures with traditions. Pooja is also done during ganesh chaturthi, ram navmi, and janmashtmi! There are sports teams made in SRM for national, international tournaments..for sports like football, cricket, volleyball, basketball and many more!! Students run many clubs like Alexa, Aarush, CodingNinjas and many more technical as well as coorporate clubs.
Hostel Facilities
Room is spacious, provides us with air conditioner, lights, wardrobes. A well furnished bathroom, and three beds..for three sharing room. There's a mirror in the room as well. Menu changes every semester! Food quality is great for me as they provide protein rich food with vegetables, so if youre a gym freak! Then good for you !!! Hostel registration is done online through SRM student portal!
Admission
I applied to VIT and many more but SRM seems the best in in campus placements and average packages. The campus is very nice and vast so much greenery and easy accessible food shops and market. The faculty is very nice accept a few and they clear our doubts very nicely. I didn't got rejection from other colleges because my first priority was SRM. The admission process is really simple. Firstly you have to appear for the SRMJEE test and pass it. The result will decide your course.
Faculty
In a class of 50 students one teacher is assigned and the teacher is very nice. In the students have any doubts teacher clear the doubts in a very well way and the relationship between student and teacher is very well shown in this campus in this college. Our chemistry faculty was very nice he was very friendly and he taught well he clear the doubt. On the other hand we didn't like our bio faculty because she used to deduct marks without any reason even if we write a long answer with diagram. There are around 5 or 6 subjects in 1st year and 4 to 5 subjects in 2nd year the CTs are a bit tricky to answer but the sem end exams are very smooth the exam paper is made in such a way that any student can clear the exam.
