Internships Opportunities

5

Internships play a vital role in bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world professional experience. They help students apply theoretical concepts in practical environments, develop industry-relevant skills, and gain exposure to professional work culture. Recognizing this importance, my college has established a structured internship framework through its Training and Placement Cell, academic departments, and industry collaboration programs. These opportunities are designed to support students across various disciplines, especially in engineering, computer science, management, and allied fields. The college facilitates internships during summer breaks, winter vacations, and final-year project semesters. Students are encouraged to undertake internships from their second year onwards, with increasing levels of responsibility as they progress. Many of these internships offer stipends, certifications, and even pre-placement offers (PPOs) based on performance. This document provides a detailed overview of the internship opportunities available through my college, including company names, roles, stipend structures, types of projects, tasks involved, and learning outcomes. Structure of the Internship Program The internship program at my college is structured into three main categories: Industry-Based Internships – Collaborations with IT companies, startups, manufacturing firms, and corporate organizations. Academic and Research Internships – Opportunities under faculty mentors, research institutions, and government organizations. Social and Community-Based Internships – Engagements with NGOs, social enterprises, and government schemes. Each internship is guided by a faculty mentor who monitors student progress, evaluates performance, and ensures learning objectives are met. Students submit regular reports, maintain work logs, and present final project outcomes. Industry-Based Internship Opportunities 1. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Role Offered: Software

Placement at SKITM are decent and improving year by year . Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. Reputed companies like TCS,wipro , Infosys and some emerging firms visit the campus. The averages package is around 3-4 LPA ,while the higher goes upto 6-7 LPA in some cases . Around 60% students get placed , especially those who have good technical skills and communication skills. The college also provide basic training and guidance for placements, which helps students prepare for interview The college provide some support, but it is not enough for high - paying jobs, so students need to prepare on their own.

Placement Experience:

Placements in my college are very good in one sense but okayish in some other. Many companies visit the college but only some of them are good and if one loses opportunity in some top companies, then only low paying companies remain. Students become eligible for college placements after 6 semester. Some top companies visiting for placements include, Goldman Sachs, Databricks, Google, Zomato, Amazon, etc. All of the students in my branch have received their offers except one or two, who will receive it eventually. Highest package this year is 1.04Cr INR and average would fall around 30L INR. Percentage of students getting placed in my branch is around always 100%. My plans after a degree is to work in industry offered to me by my placements, but even if I don't get on campus placement, I would be seeking out off campus placements and I am positive, I'll be in good place.

Placement Experience:

From the 4th semester student can apply for internships and for placement student should be in 5th semester of his or her college life. There's very difficulties in getting placed by the company because few of the company comes to college and very fewer gets placed. So student must develop the skills on their own and apply for off campus selection. More than 8.5 cgpa for average package and more than 9 cgpa is required for a good company... I'm planning to give upsc exams after graduation
