Course Curriculum Overview

3

The manit curriculum for mechanical is quite strong in basics and was a major reason i chose this course .It covers core maths ,mechanics ,physics ,electrical and wrskhopa ,which helps for higher studies and exams .Exams are frequent with midsems ,quizzes and endsems;sometimes the schedule feels packed, but it keeps us regular with the syllabus.Difficulty is moderate if you attend classes and practice .Still , some subjects feel outdated and there should be more software , projects and insustry oriented content.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am a first year student B tech manit student at MANIT Bhopal. The annual institute fees is around 1.5 lakh for general /OBC students with family income above 5 lakh . The fee includes tuition fee, registeration fee, examination fee, library and lab charges and other compulsory institute charges . In the first year the fee is slighlty higher due to one time admission and caution charges. From second year onwards the yearly fee reduces a little and then remains almost stable, with a small chance of marginal increase as per institute policy. Hostel and mess charges are seperate, hostel fee is 23000 and mess is run by students and its fee is 27500 For other categories SC/ST get 100% fees waiver and pay only insitute and hostel charges Student with family income below 1 lkh get full tuition fee waiver and those under 1 to 5 lakh income get 2/3 waiver under the merit cum means scheme . Some students also receive central sector scholarship based on merit and income Overall , the course is reasonable affordable for an NIT ,especiallly with available scholarship

Campus Life

5

So manit have three major fest ,Maffick, e summit ,technosearch and tooryanad . The fests in manit were my best moments of my college life the vibe here is unmatchable ,stage ,energy of students and the system everything was perfect variouse big public figure were invited to share there story and guide us .There are society and club of every aspects like you can do what you like you will be prpvided the opportunity to show your talent on the stage . classroom also are decent the auditorium from second year are too good but 1 year lecture hall are decent . Sports facilities are good there are grounds for very sport and all facilitiesare provided for each sport .

Admission

Ok so in after clearing i appeard for cunselling where i got numeruse colllege option vaiouse nit top state government but as i am from MP so manit was close to my hometown and as we see its past record manit had given good opportunites to student in core as welll as tech so i chose manit over other nit and i took my name for state counselling as i want to get the exposure of NIT ,The admission process in manit was smooth but it will become frustating if you get there late the online document verification for frustating, but in offline everyting was smooth variouse invigilator were present everywhere and helping students by clearing all thre doubt.

Faculty

4

In manit the faculty student ratio is 1:20 teachers know most regular students . Many are helpful cear doubts after class but a few are strict and not very approachable .Course load is heavy with thoey plus labs.We have endsem ,midsems internal ,papers are moderate ,you passif you a follow lectures . Curriculu is good for basics but some parts feel outdated and need more practical, industry oriented content

Night Life

4

Night life in bhopal is not too god as not many things are open in night inside campus there are night canteens availabe inside the hostel itself there are in time that why you will not experience the ighlife in 1 year but from 2 year you will get chance to explore from secon year there is not so specific in time but in 1 year in time is around 7 .There are various places to hang out in campus there is manit lake cafes in bhopal there are tekhri , sher sappata and many more

The placement of our college are very good. I think from 7th or 8th semester students become eligible for campus placement. There are many companies which comes for the placement like Google Paytm Cisco etc the highest and average package as per company and profiles offered are minimum 3 lakh per annum. My plans after getting the degree is I have to do job because there is a financially problem in my life and and my family my father is a farmer and I want to become a very good child and I want to proud my dad for my work

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester onwards. Companies visiting campus are mostly mass recruiters along with a few product-based and mid-level companies. Most students receive an average package of approximately 5-6 LPA, while higher packages are offered to only a few top performers. Few seniors, whom I know got packages of 8.5 LPA, 12 LPA, and 19 LPA also, so basically higher packages are also offered but their competition is high and only some of them can make it up to that. A good percentage of eligible students receive the placement offers, mainlt in IT and service-based roles, but competition remains there, so one needs to have serious preparation on his or her own. Arond 60%+ students got placed every year from on-campuses placements. The placement cell provides training sessions and interview sessions from the third year onwards. Overall, placements can be considered decent compared to other private colleges in the region. Basically, after completing my graduation, I plan to pursue good placement otherwise prepare further for civil services after understanding career growth, however, this is not my final decision but could make a final one before the completion of course.

Placement record is decent, campus drives happens regularly. If no campus placement is offered then it's obvious one has to struggle a bit more to get a decent job but I beleive the college makes the students capable enough to crack the campus placement if a person really is capable then their is no lack of resources from the college. Even if there is no in campus placement I think everyone has a plan B.
