What Students Say
Likes
- The things that I enjoyed in my college IIST is that the surroundings of the college is quite peaceful and it is kept in proper manner and with discipline
- The faculties of the college are quite good at what they teach , all of them are well experienced and whenever any doubts arise they make sure to clear it for us . Also the girls to the boys ratio is 4:6
- The food of the college is also quite decent and fine as compared to any other food quality I have heard from the colleges nearby .
Dislikes
- Computers in labs have no gpu could create a huge problem for students of Aiml specially while doing any projects
- Recently during the enrollment number form the college lost my original TC and migration and never found it and due to that I had to make a stamp paper of 100 along with the copy of the migration and copy of the TC
Course Curriculum Overview
Future development depend on this course as well as this course (AIML) has lots of projects and opportunities awaiting, as teaching methods we are still lacking more in practical . The timing of exams are too late as we are given less amount of time for some of the semesters and also because of this institute we are not allowed to have internships in our third but in most of the institutes such as IITs and NITs the kids are given the opportunity of internships .
Placement Experience
The placements of the college doesn't seem to be very good as I have heard from the seniors as well and how the companies come and hire selectively and not many students are selected at a very good starting package . The highest package is 8 lpa this year and students become eligible from 7th semester for placements. My plan after degree is to get placed through off campus into good company through my hardwork and skills at a very good package.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure of my college comes under some categories , the people who have scored percentile ranging from 70-80% in JEE mains they are required to pay 68,000 as the tution fee for the year irrespective of the course they choose . Secondly if their JEE main score exists between 80-90% then they have to pay annual fee of 64,000 and if their JEE main percentile lie between 90-100% then they are required to pay the amount 62,000 yearly as the tution fee . The caution fee of my college is 1500 rupees and the registration fee for my college is 2000 . My batchmates fee are also similar to mine , The fees I pay yearly is 64,000 . Some who have scored lesser in jee mains , they pay amount 1,10,000 or something around it and some pay around 90,000 as it all depends on how good they have scored in jee or the boards .
Campus Life
The physical activities aren't too engaging , many of them are done but the seniors in the college get involved and the freshers aren't given much of the chance . Though people from second to fourth year do quite a lot of sports and even earn medals so I think it amounts to something. Secondly the library of the college is a very good and quite relaxing place , a place one can refer to go and study . There are tons of extra curricular activities in the college so there are rarely any end to it .
Admission
First of all it is the no 1 private college in madhya Pradesh, secondly I wanted AIML course in Madhya Pradesh at affordable price. The eligibility criteria for my college is through JEE mains Percentile , 12th board score . The overall admission process isn't very vigoruous but it's still a bit hectic just like every other college though compared to them it's still a bit fine .
Faculty
The faculty is quite approachable regarding and doubts you have about their respective subjects and the relationship between the teacher and student actually depends on how frank the teacher is and how much the student really want to open up . Though generally it's quite decent . The faculty i like the most is my Math faculty , because not only he is my class's coordinator but also a great teacher and a great guide who is very calm and always have an atmosphere around him where a student would feel very comfortable to talk about anything he/she wants to speak . The faculties i didn't like aren't many but it might just be for few reasons because maybe they are strict or maybe sometimes they get angry on the very silly things asked by us . There are two MST exams of 20 marks and one Main sem exam of the 70 marks along with the internal viva and external viva . The exam difficult is between easy-moderate , it doesn't seem very tough to crack if you know your subject and you have studied properly . The course curriculum seems a bit old but it still works fine because many times faculty give us extra information which seems to be very interesting and new to know about .
Night Life
As I heard , there are strict rules inside the campus as no day border is allowed to stay inside the campus after 8pm and the girls and boys hostel both close at 9pm . The cafeteria timing for dinner is from 8-9 pm and after that every hostelers should come inside their hostels after which attendance is mandatory for them . Library remains open till 7:30 pm , gym also closes at 8pm and the locality is not safe to roam around at night .
