- thing I disliked the most is the 75 % attendance system as we have to attend lecture daily to get eligible for exams usually all the private college have 75% attendance system
- again in mostly private colleges teaching is still being done according to the old syllabus
Course Curriculum Overview
so the academics syllabus is associated with rgpv so yes the syllabus is old and accordingly relevant. but in extra the SIGs program were helds for personality developement as well as skills development for every students . faculty way of teaching is polite they teach from basics to advanced level. enough time is given to students for exams preparations.
Internships Opportunities
internships in college generally starts in 3rd year not much aware about the stipend the company provide but the yes the skills is very much important to crack internship in 3rd year college as thier is a lots of compition .
Placement Experience
usually students became eligible for campus placements in 4th year. many companies visits college which you can visit on the college official website generally the lowest package are 3-4 lpa and highest package is 12-15 lpa. not much sure about the students percentage of getting placement .
Fees and Financial Aid
here the annual fees depend upon the branch you choose and your previous class grades. as i had got 72% in 12th so my annual fees for cs/ds ranch is 68000per semester and 1500 caution fees. and my friend's fees is 55000 per semester as she got 84% in 12th . additionally if secure good percentile in jee also than it it is well and good. college also provide merit based and categories wise (100%)scholarship and if you belongs to unreserved category than also you can get scholarship (condition: family annual income-<250000).
Campus Life
so many festivals are celebrated here including ganesh chaturthi , navratre and holi . after every end of year Dazzle pparty also organised. all important course related or extra interested books are available in the library and students also have the opportunity to suggest books to the librarian . the faculty use screen board to teach also thier are good labs and with so many equipments. you can participates in 2 or 3 clubs you want simultaneously you can choose any sports of your choice .apart form this you can take part in NSS group.
Admission
i had visited almost all colleges in indore, but for one reason or another , i didn't take admission there. 1. for example , at Acropolis , a very high JEE percentile was required. otherwise ,you have to pay a higher fee. 2. i couldn't afford the fees at medicaps. 3.in the rest of the private colleges, the syllabus , placements are almost same. 4.finallly , the main thing is that the college environment should be good , and In IIST the environment is good also they focus on extra skill development through SIGs. you can take direct admission here via 12th marks and also can apply in councelling via jee percentile you will get the branch according to your grades.
Faculty
the students-to-faculty ratio is approximately 1:25 , allowing for more personalized attentiom. here faculty are are generally well =-qualified with many holding PhDs and master's degree. 2 semester exam of (20 marks) which are generally medium to hard level and end semester exams are held.
