The art of engineering in GMRIT

The main reason behind me choosing this course is the current technology trend AI . In this course they teach you about AI and the technologies of AI and also it includes data science which is very important to get placed in high paying jobs like data analysts and data scientist roles which is required in every brand or company. Only some part of the curriculum is required to deal with real world applications while the other are just waste of time. The areas for improvements are removing record writing system which just kills the time instead we could just learn the practical knowledge required to deal with real world applications. the semester lasts for four months and for every two months we have a midterm examination and at the end of the semester we have semister examination along with labb external with moderate difficulty level.

So the college offers two types of internships they are summer internship and full semester internship. The summer internship lasts for one month and the full semester intership lasts for 4 months. There are two types of projects and term paper which has to be done and published by students.

From seventh semester students are eligible for campus placements. many companies like HCL , Amazon , Oracle , Cognizant,Infosys and TCS visit our campus. They offer From 3LPA to 16LPA packages. The highest package in this college is 43 LPA which is an off campus placement yet it is secured by student of our college. The average percentage of students getting placed is around 60 to 70 percent. Last year the percentage of students placed is 78 percent. my plans after getting the degree is to work in the company i got placed during campus placements and develop my skills.

the total tution fees in our college is 86000 , which includes building fund of rupees 13000 and other funds like caution deposit of rupees 5000. and the registration fees is 5000 rupess which is also belongs to the admission fees . Lab fees is included in the tution fees itself . Fees for all the categories is same who opted for this college through eapcet. it may vary if they came via donation , the donation varies by the course they have chosen.

The college have multiple clubs which allow students to participate in other extra curricular activities. This colleege have NCC and NSS which improves students leadership qualities. There are three fests celebrated all around the year in this college they are new year fest, Stepcone and annual day celebrations. All types of journals are available and the accessibility of library is from 9 am to 10 pm. only on working days. Every class has its individual projector and blackboard. They encourage sports and also they have multiple clubs in the college The social groups are NCC and NSS which impacts on students social life.

All kinds of facilities available in the hostel including hot water , mineral water . The food quality is good but the taste could be improved. Registration process for hostels is done in the hostel itself. the hostel's are not so affordable. There are rented rooms and pg's available outside the campus.

I gave eapcet in 2023 and my rank was 10000 and in counselling i have applied for fifteen other colleges along with this college so according to my rank the GOVT of andhra pradesh has allotted me this college for my merit. Each college has a cutoff rank and this stream in this college matches my rank for its cutoff so i have permitted for admission in this college. The eligibility is you can just either by eapcet or paying the donation and the admission process hardly takes an hour which is done in the college itself, no online admission processes are available.

All the individual departments have individual faculty members. thee faculty maintains good harmony with the students , not all of them but few. some faculty teaches well while the other just pass the time. Coming to exams, The exams can be easily cracked by studying overnight all we have to learn is the concept and the practical knowledge which we have to learn on our own. There are four type of exams they are mid term -1 , mid term -2 , lab externals and the final semester exams.

The gym is available till 8pm and it is free for hostel students. coming to library it is very accessible for students and it is available from 9am to 10pm all kinds of books are available here. The cafeteria closes by 7pm. The campus itself is good for hangout and the outing for hostel students closes at 8pm.
