Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose bsc bioinformatics as I love programming and research sector as I took pcb in 11th ... I couldn't go for btech ... But then I researched and found about this course which need computer skills with biology background.. a perfect match for someone like me.. after the pandemic and technical growth in biology sector .. bioinformatics became one of the most growing area .. In india it's rare to find people know about this is even a sector so yeah less competition and big opportunities to work abroad .. But I am pursuing this course in this college which have very bad curriculum..the faculty isn't proper to teach us about bioinformatics and we are just study the syllabus of biotech in a mixed class ... I will rate it's a bad idea to pursue bioinformatics from Swami vivekanand subharti university...

Fees and Financial Aid

So I am from obc category and my course fees is 50000/yr .... I am living in hostel wich i have to pay 75000/yr and a one time payment fees of 40000 as security fees... Others fees- 1. Registration fees of 1500 2. Late fees fines over dues

Campus Life

3

1. There are many small fest helds now and then in college and university... Many colleges in university have their own fests on small scale ... But university have a sports fest called (spandan) in which all the college of the university competes each other ... It's the biggest fest 2.There are common library available in each college accordingly have subjects journals and books of the college ... There is a Central library (G.S dallon library) in which all students can go and study .. it's the biggest library which has journal section , many book, computer labs and 3 study area for boy , girls , seprate and mixed too 3.I am not a sport person don't know much about clubs or sports activities but There is a very big playground for training and sports and many sports events and competition are held now and then

Hostel Facilities

1

1. The rooms alloted are small .. they just allot a single type room to 2 people and a double bed room to 4 people .. I have been alloted into 4 person room which has size of only 2 person room .. the facility provides in the room by hostel are 1. 2 fans 2. A chair and a table to each person 3. 2 tubelight 4. A almirah to each person 2. The menu is fine and food isn't that bad but not that good also the management of the mess is bad .. hostler jump over and it gets crowded ... They have single roti making machine which makes fuss for roti 3. The registration process is simple .. once alloted the college .. nearest hostel to the college will be alloted just submit the fees and show required documents to the warden of that hostel and room will be alloted ... But the affordability is high with 75000/yr fees for 4 person room and a one time security payment of 40000.

Admission

In my case ... I wasn't looking for college .. I just wanted to pursue this course.. I want to be a bioinformatician.. I searched a lot of college but many of them doesn't offer bioinformatics.. very few college are there in india that provides bsc bioinformatics.. i didn't have a many choices for colleges .. but my family was not willing to send me far distance so I had to choose the college nearest to me ... And this was the nearest so I enrolled to it

Faculty

3

I am pursuing bsc bioinformatics .. but they don't have a proper faculty or management for it .. they are just running is along side biotech .. we don't have a proper class schedule or anything.. they are teaching us syllabus of biotech .. and classes of biotech, bioinformatics, microbiology are mixed .. The faculty we have .1. biochemistry - Dr. Nikhil Chand sir 2. Cell biology - Sangeeta mam 3. Soil Microbiology - ashwani sir 4. Advance excel - alsam mam 5. Ai for life science - Dr. Asif sir 6. Advance english - saniya agrawal mam The exams I have in my first semester- 1. Sessional 1 exam (30 marks each subject) 2. Sessional 2 exam (30 marks each subject) 3. Final semester exam (70 marks each subject) I enrolled to college in September and in December I am giving my 1st semester final exams ...

Night Life

4

1.So , The college Library and colleges too close at 4 pm but the central library stay open till 6:30 pm .. mostly regular students get back to their homes at the evening hours but the university stay alive in night with all lights blooming , the cafeteria still opens maybe till 10 pm and people who live in hotel wander here and there .. 2. Campus timing are usually 8-8:30 to 4 pm and hostels have strict timming of 9 pm .. all hostlers have to get inside the hostel before 9 pm otherwise fine and penalty may charge on late entry 3. I mostly and personally just go to the Garuda park which is inside the university.. it's a very good place ... There is a general store market inside the university and also just outside the university.. making availability of needs of hosteler ease .. It is safe to roam around at night but hostlers need to get back to hostel before 9 pm

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'd rate the curriculum 4/5. Topics like programing and data structures are super relevant.it prepares us for tech roles, but could include more hands on projects and industry tools. More focus on emerging tech like Ai /ML would be awesome. Exams are semester wise and okay.areas for improvement: internships, coding challenges, and guest lectures from pros. Solid foundation overall !

Course Curriculum Overview:

As the faculty teachers and all the staff was very good and the faculty teachers of the science were very fabulous in education causes me to choose this course... The curriculum here was in terms of social interaction was ok but it was not that good for the future real world academic pursuits as their were not that much activities for the social appearance... In terms of course curriculum and teaching method this college doesn't need much improvements because it is much better according to teaching method , as the teachers were good in terms of teaching... The timing and frequency was having much gap between one semester exam and the other semester exam , so there were not much difficulty in giving exams according to my perspective...
