Course Curriculum Overview

1

Curriculum is no doubt pretty outdated. Consider AI/ML for example you are not thought about any of the AI related topics, yes none . If you are looking for Ai regarding lecturs I will advice you to watch Harvad ML lecturs they are fantastic.

Internships Opportunities

1

Mostly companies like Visteon, Wipro, IBM , pwc... Comes for mass recruitment and they offer internshis and stipend as well (only for non core) But you need to seek out offcampus opportunities for internships and job offers if you are in non core like CSE, other wise it's tough if you keep sitting around depending upon college to provide you opportunities.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is fairly affordable. You can apply for nsp scholarship get your 70% fees returned back to you. They charge usless sports fee, which doesn't make sense. In name of development fee you will charged 10000rs per semester, which is again usless in this regard.

Campus Life

2

Campus life is chill and the word used here to describe it is "cazz" which means. Library is really good you find any books of your interest. Library ambience is quite good for studying. we have student run coding group "geeks" out there and GDSE (Google developer group) run by students keeping upto date with tech...

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostels are good and affordable, mosquitoes might take your breath away for a while but over okay. You need to have your own supply of purified water bottle, hostels drinking water facility is not good. Meal is decent as expected to me hostel food . If you are a non veg person you find your place, otherwise difficult for vegitarians. You can easily find rental rooms at affordable rate nearby colleges. Most students after a year opt out for rentals. There are lots of eateries outside colleges so not food issues.

Admission

This has some really good alumini out there and are pretty much approachable. Eligibility criteria is you need to stand out in webjee cutoff for this. If you are getting colleges in Kolkata opt for that not here.

Faculty

1

Faculty is quite flexible they can change the coursework upon students feedback. Faculty to student ratio is like 6:60. I think faculty should not give useless assignmens with anyway students copy and paste from chatgpt. Papri gosh mam is one of the good faculty I can endure.

Night Life

2

Gym is good . Cafeterias are there for chill-out No such timings. Locality is safe there are guards every where. Campus closing timing is around 10:30 pm most probably by 11 pm. Night Life is as simple as any other tier 3 colleges

The average packages are 4 to 5 lpa, in 2025 the highest package is 75LPA , in 2024 it was 40 LPA in 2023 it was 33LPA. 7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months
