Course Curriculum Overview

4

I personally wanted to persue Finance only. Subjects or topics in the curriculum that influenced my decison were financial management, risk management, financial services, derivatives, stock market trading etc. The curriculum is vast and comprehensive. If one reads well it would provide good and sound knowledge on the subject matter. You can get an in-depth understanding. Areas of improvement could be in terms of application based study. There should be more case study based classes or sessions so we can associate or learn how to put our knowledge into real life case scenarios

Internships Opportunities

5

We have very good internship oppunuity , we have 2 months internship opportyunity , compa ies like JP Morgan,CRISIL ,BNY come to campus for interhsip and proviode good stipend and also very well learning opportunity

Placement Experience

5

The average placements of this college sits at 11Lacs. The placements opportunities offered are decent. Many companies from BFSI sector come with various roles like credit rating analyst, GF and BM analyst, Investment research analyst etc. Companies like CRISL, BNY, JP Morgan, Bajaj Allianz Insurance, Sowillo Investments , 100% of the eliguible students are placed every year. The placmnets are in the diverse profile like protfolio managament, Equity Research, operations, Finanacial Planning,Business Development.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am currently in the my first of this course and my total fees for this course is around 23 lacs. The hostel fees from that is 143000 per annum. The year wise fees that I will be paying would be around 11.5 lacs. I believe my seniors are paying 10.5 lacs for the same. To sum it up: - Admission and exam fees = 3300 (differs student to student on number of attempts they want to give for SNAP exam and number of insititutes to choose from. Each institute charge was 1000 Rs. - SNAP fees- Around 2200 Rs. While I have not taken student loan but many of my batchmates are funding their MBA through student loan facility.

Campus Life

5

The overall experience in the college is been most of learning not just the academic but also apart from academic , we have people from diverse backgroud including international student , which gives us the overall exposure to diverse group an social aspect , we have more than 20 clubs in different flieds which help us to dvelop our character, leadership and team building skills. we have top class infratsructure with gym , indoor and outdoor games with multiopurpose group , canteen , mess etc

Hostel Facilities

5

We have very well maintained and top class hostel facility with all the high class facilities , these facilities include goof water ,food and all the amenities which is required for the comfortable living environment.

Admission

I gave CAT exam so I pretty much applied to all CAT accepting decent colleges. Similarly I applied for XAT and SNAP as well. I got into SSBF through SNAP. I scored 91 percentile in CAT but could not get college of my liking in that percentile range. The Symbiosis brand is trust worthy and renowned hence I decided to go for this college. The admission process of this college is pretty much like any other college. It starts with SNAP exam which is the aptitude test then upon clearing you sit in a GDPI process and then you get the final offer letter.

Faculty

3

The faculty student relationship I would say is good here. The students feel free and open to approach the professors and faculty. Even the faculty is warm and open to queries and our problems, academics or otherwise. So far I like Prasad Kalbande sir (pardon if spelling is incorrect) and Deepa Pillai ma'am. The way they teach their concepts is very comprehensive and helps us relate theorretical concepts to practical business world. Exam structure is semester wise. We have mid sems and end sems in one term/semester. The difficulty level is moderate to difficult.

Interview Experience

5

Yes I have faced Group discussion , interview and written test for admission which really tetsed of knowledge and was helpful for all the other GD and PI , apart from these we also had mock GD and PI for us to prepare for future

Night Life

5

Night life here is full of fun as our college is sitiuated in Pune the party city , the night life in and around our college it very good , pubs , clubs , restuarants which will make the college life even more fun and happening

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Students become eligible for placements after completing 2nd semester and entering in 3rd semester. Attendance is compulsory for getting the opportunity for placements. The companies like IDBI Bank, HDFC Bank, Property pistol, Godrej Capital are available for placements. The highest paid package is 9.75 for sales and marketing. Till now( 3rd semester) 60% to 70% students are placed. There are more opportunities for sales and marketing as compared to other fields.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.
