- The college has a very good canteen which is clean and provide delicious food for reasonable rates
- The semester fees is affordable as compared to other colleges and their facilities
- As iam a mechanical engineering student the college has many advanced machines in the lab that cannot be seen in other private colleges
Dislikes
- The roads inside the campus is very bad and gittery
- Regarding the hostel timing, all students need to enter the hostel before 6 pm , which I feel as a restarinment from oru freedom
- In the recent years a lot of trees has been cut down in the campus and I feel it as a bad method for the development of campus
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is being provided by the APJ Abdul Kalam university and if talking about the curriculums relevance in the present scenario, it's not that relevant. We need study an extra 6 months course or so after the completion of course inorder to coupe up with the present state of companies The frequency of exams is twice a semester and is somewhat difficult
Internships Opportunities

Placement Experience
Students are eligible for campus placements in 3 year of their course and to be more specific semester 6 is where the placement start TVS , Sutherland, infosys, MRF, these are some of the main companies that provide placement here 15000 is the minimum package offered and highest package dependents on oru potential Almost 80 % of the students get placement in my college My plans after the degree is for further studies
Fees and Financial Aid
Year wise semester fee = 30000 Tution fee = 15000 Caution fee = 10000 Arts and sports fee = 540 A reduction of maximum 45000 is available in management seats and merit Free education for some manipur students for those who are really needed also no hostel fee for them
Campus Life
The technical fest of the college is named as equinox and it is being held at the month of March every year it includes technical fests of each department Almost every book that is needed for the course is available in the library and each of them have at least 10 copies of them available The classes does not have any smart TV but teacher make use of projectors for class when needed Training is being provided during the weekend for registered students for volleyball and cricket
Hostel Facilities
The facilities in the room are 2 bulb and a fan and 3 shelfs . Each room has 3 students in it and has enough space for them In the hostel quantity of the meals are more than enough but the taste is just average The hostel fee is affordable as 24500 per year The hostel is located inside the campus
Admission
I applied for Amal Jyoti college of engineering and saints gits college where my seat for mechanical engineering were confirmed in both the colleges but I didn't choose those college because of the fees structure their, at that time it was no affordable for my family that's why I choose Lourdes matha college over them The eligibility for admission here is keam exam marks or we can get NRI seats also
Faculty
Each department has enough facilities available for the smooth running of it , only my department has a need for 2 or 3 extra facilities Joby sir is a facility that I liked in the recent years because of his behaviour to staffs and students and this way of teaching too Manu sir is the faculty that I least liked its not because of his behaviour but because of his teaching style The are 2 series exam in rach semester and it's a bit hard for some subject and 50% students only pass in it
Night Life
There is no night life in or around the college Gym are Available in the college which opens at 9 am and close at 6 pm Hostel timing is also 6 pm and other students should leave the campus before 4.30 , if there is any special permission you can Increase the timing
