There are elections held every year for student council, positions that are held for specific year students, the members of student council arrange and manage the events held in the college, while regular students who weren't interested in joining the council could join various clubs to participate in extra-curricular activities.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel fees would depend on the hostel and type of room a student may be selecting, whether it's a room consisting of four beds, three or two... Whether the room has attached bathroom and balcony or not, whether the room has Ac or laundry services or not. Meal quality is okay, good. There is a specific registration counter near the university examination cell, where one could inquire and pay fees regarding the hostel, infact the student could also change the rooms or hostel if they are uncomfortable. Affordability may vary from person to person, however for girls hostel, it would be considered as expensive if compared to boys hostel, due to large amount of intake.
Admission
I chose this college, because it provided the pharmD course, and was nearest from Chandrapur, while compared to other private colleges in Maharashtra which provided pharmD course. The super speciality hospital, which is required for the course was one of the reasons, i considered Datta meghe college of pharmacy. Being the student of first batch in this college the fees was comparatively low.
Faculty
Faculties are approachable, strict yet interacting. Regular classes are conducted, with real life insight provided in practicals. PharmD is a six years course, a doctoral degree with five years of academic study and one year of internship and residency. Pharm D, exams are held annually with three internal examinations/or sessionals, each of 30 marks theory, from which best of two results would be selected as internal, while the university exams which are conducted annually are about of 70 marks, each subject.
Night Life
There is a gym available in the hostel premises, so is swimming pool. While there is cafeteria available in the college premises. However neither gym not cafeteria is free. According to different hostel and the year you are studying in, the return timing varies. While the classes at college start from 9:30 and end at 5:30. Inside the college, it's usually the turf or cafeteria, while in hostel premises, the hangout places would include the fitness club, the basketball court, etc.
