Course Curriculum Overview

4

Pharm D is an Ug+Pg degree, a doctoral degree of six years, which focuses on clinical research and medicine, being clinical pharmacists, we can also work in regulatory affairs. PharmD curriculum itself involves hospital visit from second year, with a visit each week, every increasing year, the no. Of hospital visits increases by a day, preparing us for a life of clinical pharmacists. More of the people in India should be aware regarding the course, especially in northern India. There are three internal examinations/sessionals conducted of 30 marks within a year, with 70 marks annual/university exam at the end of the year.

Internships Opportunities

3

There are various intership opportunities available with the college, the students are provided internship at different places, with different pharmaceuticals and ltd, one could also take an internship in Avbrh hospital or lifestyle pharmacy.

Placement Experience

4

There has been placements in datta meghe college of pharmacy. The fourth year students of bpharm has secured placements. The 2025 batch itself has secured placements in alembic pharmaceuticals Ltd, alkem laboratories and claps industries private limited. My plan after getting my degree is to work as clinical pharmacists or atleast partake in clinical research in niper.

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid about rupees 150000/-,as the tution fees of pharmD, with rupees 12000/- as enrollment fees and rupees 2500/- as student health insurance provided by dmiher, which ensures free checkup throughout the year.

Campus Life

4

There are annual functions like Ignitra, annual festivals like GFC, there are various activities and events held each month. BP, EP and even the latest version of IP 2022,is available in library, international journals, along with the usual acadmic related books are also available for students in the library. There is smart board in the classroom, with SEL classes sometimes held for better understanding. Each Saturday students are free to issue sports equipment after lectures and play, there is a sports club, with inter College level competitions being held during ignitra. There are elections held every year for student council, positions that are held for specific year students, the members of student council arrange and manage the events held in the college, while regular students who weren't interested in joining the council could join various clubs to participate in extra-curricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel fees would depend on the hostel and type of room a student may be selecting, whether it's a room consisting of four beds, three or two... Whether the room has attached bathroom and balcony or not, whether the room has Ac or laundry services or not. Meal quality is okay, good. There is a specific registration counter near the university examination cell, where one could inquire and pay fees regarding the hostel, infact the student could also change the rooms or hostel if they are uncomfortable. Affordability may vary from person to person, however for girls hostel, it would be considered as expensive if compared to boys hostel, due to large amount of intake.

Admission

I chose this college, because it provided the pharmD course, and was nearest from Chandrapur, while compared to other private colleges in Maharashtra which provided pharmD course. The super speciality hospital, which is required for the course was one of the reasons, i considered Datta meghe college of pharmacy. Being the student of first batch in this college the fees was comparatively low.

Faculty

4

Faculties are approachable, strict yet interacting. Regular classes are conducted, with real life insight provided in practicals. PharmD is a six years course, a doctoral degree with five years of academic study and one year of internship and residency. Pharm D, exams are held annually with three internal examinations/or sessionals, each of 30 marks theory, from which best of two results would be selected as internal, while the university exams which are conducted annually are about of 70 marks, each subject.

Night Life

4

There is a gym available in the hostel premises, so is swimming pool. While there is cafeteria available in the college premises. However neither gym not cafeteria is free. According to different hostel and the year you are studying in, the return timing varies. While the classes at college start from 9:30 and end at 5:30. Inside the college, it's usually the turf or cafeteria, while in hostel premises, the hangout places would include the fitness club, the basketball court, etc.

Placement Experience:

campus placements are decent. renowned companies come every year to offer an average salary of 5-7LPA. Students post their clerkship become generally eligibile in the 6th year of their course. highest package was 7LPA according to sources[may vary] companies like HIMALAYA, and other medical brands tend to come to the college. percentage of students getting placements varies from year to year. my plans after gettting the degree are mostly further educational pursuits with a educational job.

I choose this course so as to get involveed in health care system and provide better patient care. This course provides great patient exposure and we can provide better health care to them. Our curriculum prepare us real patient interaction and direct application of knowledge. We must improve practical knowledge and current scenario and research areas. We have 3 sessional exam and one final exam throughout the year .out of 3 sessionals 2 sessional exams are difficult. This course should get more hospital exposure and students involvement.
