Course Curriculum Overview
Interaction of the course with the hospital, patients and staff, treatment of patients was fuel for my passion. the course to opt working from working in hospitals , research labs, educational colleges. course provides in depth knowledge of the pharmaceuticals subjects t or demand in India yet. frequency- 3 sessional or internal exams consisting of both theory and practical (30) one final exam consisting of 70 marks exam same pattern as above.
Placement Experience
campus placements are decent. renowned companies come every year to offer an average salary of 5-7LPA. Students post their clerkship become generally eligibile in the 6th year of their course. highest package was 7LPA according to sources[may vary] companies like HIMALAYA, and other medical brands tend to come to the college. percentage of students getting placements varies from year to year. my plans after gettting the degree are mostly further educational pursuits with a educational job.
Fees and Financial Aid
my fees is 1,75,000. i belong to general category. tuition fees is 158,273rs. development fees 23,937rs. girls are getting fees returned due scholarships available in college due to government scheme. 10% students get the benefit of EWS according to their CET percentile in the tution fees structure. backward class students have less to none fees.
Campus Life
Libraries include all the books generally ranging from DIPIRO handbooks and book for therapeutics, a exclusive subject of the course to MBA books for the d pharm or b pharm students interested to pursuade accordingly. technological aids of the classroom include 2 boards one blackboard and other digital board along with projectors for enhanced and structured digital learning. Faculities around 80-85% are decent knowledgable and clear in their knowledge delievery.
Admission
I wanted this college so no question arose of me pursuading other clgs. admission process is mainly based on the percentile marking of MHCET examination. higher percentiles get a higher chance of acceptance in the first 3 rounds. management is another option available as well. i applied to other colleges like DY patil, Poona college of pharmacy as well, got none confirmed admission form, unlike Indira where i got complete worth for money package. MHCET exam landed me to kasturi shiksan sanstha college of pharmacy shikrapur , froze the admission but later cancelled due to personal reasons. CET mainly is the exam used to cross eligibility for this course. cutoff in 2023 was 93.4 percentile and above. CET exam is most preferred by students. many other colleges also tend to recruit students through neet scores as well.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is one faculty for 30 students[1:30] which is appropiate. Sneha mam for pharmaceutics is what i appreciated for 1st year, expertise in the subjects, appropiate communication with students, precise doubt solving and time efficient practicals drags the experince to the pinnacle. no particular faculty of dislike. 3 sessionals conducted officially. average of 2 sessionals used for the internal marks [out of 30] considered the rest 70 is in the final exam written paper for theory. for practicals, synopsis, viva, major and minor exam constitute the practical exam elements and aspects of daily performance , submissions etc are considered for 10 marks. 50% is the criteria of passing for both, that is 50/100 marks required respectively for practical and theory both to pass all subjects individually. Course relevant rational and upto the mark. 3-4 fail to clear exams but can manage it due to another official sessional provided as listed above.
Night Life
basketball court, canteens, gardens are some places for students, sports room consisiting of chess, table tennis and other indoor games available. gym is present behind the basketball court. library closes at 6pm and opens at 8am . Locality is safe to roam at night, area is next to highway and balewadi high street making cafes and city life near and accesible to students.
