Likes
- The university offers a lot of clubs and committees for the students as per their interests. Each student is given an opportunity to showcase their talent apart from the academics. The students are encouraged to participate in sports, fests, etc.
- The library at JLU is vast and huge! The texts and books it contains are just out of this world. For law students, it's a heaven on earth. We students can go and access the library whenever we want. The books can be issued and are of great help.
- The faculty members are really good. They are not just knowledgeable but also approachable. They are always ready to help the students. They encourage us by taking open discussions and presentations which work out for us.
Dislikes
- The university has two canteens. The one for the law students, prepares both veg and non-veg food together which I as a pure vegetarian cannot really bear with.
- The seniors here are a bit rude. Everybody has their own opinions but they are quite judgemental.
- The law building is at the top. We have to walk all over and then climb to the classes. We are not allowed to bring our vehicles to the upper parking even on heavy rainy days.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is great! The course gets completed smoothly yet before hand and then we have a lot of time for revision. The reason why I pursued law was because this field amazed me. I have a keen interest in learning and practicing law.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure for the five year B.A.LL.B. course is 1 Lakh 80 Thousand per year. Currently it has increased as I took admission 2 years back. There are 10 semesters in total so the fees for each semester is 90,000 rupees. There are scholarship programs for students while applying for the college based on your class 12th percentage and CLAT results.
Campus Life
What I have experienced overall in the campus has been great so far. The college hosts multiple events and fests throughout the year wherein the students gets to showcase their talent and it's their time to shine. Be it dancing, cooking, anchoring, singing, whatever they like!
Admission
The reason why I chose this college was because of its great academic history with other pass out students. People have been learning law from JLU and are practicing it all around the world. JLU provides a lot of opportunities to its students to excel in all aspects of life!
Faculty
The faculty members are nice. They are good both academics wise and behaviour wise. They are really helpful. Notes are provided to the students before exams. Exams happen twice a semester, i.e. 4 exams a year. In which 2 are mid semester exams and the other two are end semester exams. The exams are pretty much from moderate to difficult. It also depends on the subject.
Night Life
I am not a student who lives in the college campus so I cannot tell you much but from the things that I've heard from my fellow classmates, it's amazing. The campus is beautiful, filled with greenery and scenic views. The main gate closed at 7 pm everyday and the inside buildings doors close at 10 pm. The security is strict and restricted.
