Course Curriculum Overview
the course curriculum is updated and i would say the teaching method is still very old, there is a clear gap between the course and what teachers are teaching us, better would be if you start focusing on major subjects on your own from the very beginning.
Internships Opportunities
various companies will come for internship, bajaj finance, oyo rooms, morgan stanley, all of these are some of the famous ones which came in last 2 months, there are many more companies coming almost every week.
Placement Experience
companies start coming from 6th semester onwards, and you will be applying to various companies in your 4th year, this year only morgan stanley came to our campus, but they didn't hire anyone, obviously because the students don't know much, but the college brings really good companies
Fees and Financial Aid
the tuition fees remain same throught the degree, whatever you paid in 1st sem will remain same throughtout, however if you are availing a scholarship then you need to maintain 7.5 cgpa in each year otherwise it will be discontinued, i paid 1,06,000 for semester fees and 2500 for examination fee, apart from these, you don't have to pay anything extra, however remember that for new students, the semester fee increases every year, so cross check that with the admission councellor.
Campus Life
campus life is 10/10, if you exclude certain crowd from few states, you will find various events happening, almost every month there is something going on in the campus, libraries are really good, and you will find many books there, specially the newly built ones in south campus.
Admission
the fees structure is very much justified and the social culture which chandigarh university provides is far better than most of the private universities in north india, also the admission process is actually very smooth.
Faculty
this is something that varies alot, there are many faculties here such that the ones who will teach you in 1st sem, you may never see them again in campus. the student to faculty ratio is good and all of them are very much approachable, there will be alot of assignments and exams so be prepared.
Night Life
nightlife is good but only till 7-8pm for girls and for boys mostly till 9-10pm after which all the outlets are closed, libraries also remain open till 10pm in main blocks like B1, south campus area is the best one if you are looking to hangout with your friends after classes, and the fountain area as well.
