Course Curriculum Overview

4

So I choose for BBA LLB because I wanted that corporate aspect with law. We are taught nearly every aspect which will or may help us in real world applications or further academic pursuits. The assignments they provide could be improved. Apart from the mid sems and end sems, Class tests and quiz take place as a part of the marking scheme.

Internships Opportunities

4

As a law student, we are advised to do internships after every semester. And the faculties try there best for each student to bag up their internship opportunities at the supreme court, high courts and district courts. They even provide for law firms and other NGO's.

Fees and Financial Aid

So the yearly fees for BBA LLB (hons) is 90,000. In which around 60,000 is the academic fees, and the rest 30,000 is University charges and all including exam fees. The university provides no other scholarship to students based on the categories but they provide scholarship on the basis on their ranks in certain entrance exams and boards exams results (after 12th exams). Also the students who are based in Uttar Pradesh can fill up the Govt scholarship fees reimbursement form. The university supports it. Students pay a range of fees based on the merit based scholarship they avail. The university also provides certain scholarship for defence personnel.

Campus Life

3

The annual college fest Sangeetam is held in February. It includes a number of activities, competitions, guest arrivals and dj nights. Apart from fest, regular department specific events are held. Almost all the books which are needed are accessible from the library. Classrooms are well equipped As a day scholar, I'm not much aware of the sports facilities but I know a little bit about basketball. It has a ragging free campus, students run clubs and societies.

Admission

I could have applied to other colleges but when I visited the campus, i thought okay I should get admission here only. For law after 12th( the integrated 5 year course), no particular stream is required. Students from any stream can take addmission with a minimum percentage cutoff.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is really good. The faculties here maintain a proper professional relationship with students. Students are free to approach the faculty members during the working hours and the faculties also try their best to provide every resource. About the exams, so we are supposed to appear for 2 exams per semester which are the mid sems and the end sems. The difficulty may range in accordance to the subject. Students who genuinely don't do anything in paper may fail. The course curriculum is relevant and in accordance to the NEP

Night Life

1

Campus has gym and cafeteria As a day scholar I'm not familiar with the hostel environment. The university has markets nearby, and other hangouts spots like malls and cafes. Although the atmosphere at night can be a bit questionable outside the campus. Campus is absolutely safe.

Placement Experience:

The Placements Cell became more active in the last few years of my college. With regular placement cell sessions being organised, CV drafting workshops being organised, lawyers and various other legal luminaries, and sector heads from Tier-1 and Tier-2 firms being called to have engaging sessions with students, and tying up with the college to provide summer/winter internship opportunities to students. Students even got the opportunity to intern under Senior Adv. Pradeep Rai, among several other advocates. Students have received placement offers from firms like Kamiti & Associates, SAM, Kahitan etc. The Package ranges from 3,00,000-6,0000 p.a. Various seniors have also gone abroad to pursue LLM in IVY League colleges like Oxford, Cambridge etc.

Our college provides several placement opportunities and above 90% of the students have been placed securely. Many of them find a job on their own according to their field of interest but apart from that the college has alumni in various tier 1 firms and other distinguished law offices including but not limited to Sai Krishna, Karanjawala, Wadia Ghadi & Co., SAM, Khaitan etc. from where internship opportunities are also provided to the students. Average package range at 4-5 LPA and highest may go upto 12 LPA which is the industry standard in law for a fresher.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There has lot of visits like court visit, parliament visit, etc The curriculum provides a basic foundation of theoretical knowledge that is useful for understanding core concepts and for pursuing further academic studies, such as higher education or competitive examinations. It helps develop analytical thinking and subject awareness. There is significant scope for improvement in the course curriculum and teaching methods. The syllabus should be updated regularly to include recent developments, practical modules, project-based learning, internships, workshops, and skill-enhancement courses.Examinations are conducted frequently in the form of internal assessments, mid-semester exams, and end-semester exams, which sometimes creates academic pressure for students. The timing of exams is often closely packed, leaving limited time for proper preparation and revision. In terms of difficulty, the exams are generally of moderate level, though some subjects are challenging due to lengthy syllabi and conceptual depth.

Corporate Law is a subjects but no corporate placements as law firms were the sole contributors of our university. They gave as many placements as 30% students were placed and that too with very thin packages. So, university needs to fix this just like they have fixed every single thing at the campus.

Placements for Law are not comparable to the tech courses so far at GLA. Every year combining BBA LLB and BA LLB around 300 and I don't think even 100 are placed. So, GLA University will have to find a way to get atleast half the students find placements here and because I know my chances of getting placements are slim, I will be opting for doing LLM after I am done with LLB in 2027.

Yes they do provide campus placement last year only almost 70 students were offered jobs in campus placement. But in our case most of the students have their own plans like the majority of them are generational lawyers so either they'll join their firms or they have very good contacts so they'll get places easily but in my case as a first generation lawyer we do get internship or assessment internship in which we get very good chances to get PPO they we don't have to relay on college for campus placement. In my case if i didn't get campus placement then wherever I've done my internship I'll try to convert my internship into a PPO

Students from third year have started getting Pre-Placement Offers, but many of those are majorly due to their own accomplishments. Students get ample amount of time to intern at various law firms and courts, to secure a PPO on their own. In addition to this, the Internship and Placement Committee, often comes in aid to secure PPOs for the students of the graduating batch.
