Life at MITS , Gwalior

The curriculum of Mits follows outcome based education(OBE) , the curriculum is being regulary updated to provide students to gain knowldege in industry relevant subjects , core enginnering principles like coding, communication skills and professional developement. It balances therotical as well as practical learning in terms of various mini skill, minor projects etc.

Mits college encourages internship for the 2nd and 3rd year especially during summers, various coursed are being offered out of which they are required to choose accroding to their interest. Other than that, for CS branches the internship is usually done as software firms and for non cs branches goverment internships are considered.

The Placament in MITS are decent, especially for the computer science and IT branches , with companies like TCS, wipro, infosys visiting regularly. Average packages range from ?3.5 to ? 6 lpa , and some students get higher offer from off campus drives. Overall, the T&P cell of Mits gives every details for the companies coming.

The Btech fee structure in MITS is approximately ?8 lakh per 4 year currently in 2025 batch but previously in for my batch i.e 2022 it was approximtely 4 lakh per 4 year including tuition , laboratory , and other compulsory charges . Reserved Category students often recives partial or full reimbursement of the fees thorugh the government scholarships.

Campus at Mits Gwalior has been a balanced of mix academic and personal growt. The college hosts various events like Technosearch , udbhav various hackathons , where students get opprotunity to showcase their skills. There are active clubs for coding , music , dance and joining them really enhaces the personality.

I choose Mits Gwalior beacuse of its strong academic reputation , affordable fees and good faculty in branches.Compared to private college I considered , Mits offers better value with government recognition, scholarship and consistent placement in CS/IT branches . I couldn't make to NIT's because of my Jee rank , but MITS was the solid second choice thorugh MP DTE counseling.

The faculties of this institute are very supportive. In MITS most of the professors are holding PHD degree in their respective fields.There are various sessions that are been held for just the interaction of students and facutlties. Other than that there are various professors that have been teaching in this institute for more than 10 years which enhace the chance of gaining practical knowldege.

Nightlife at MITS is relatively quite and limite. However, students hangout at cafes and food joints in the college. since it is more focused academic environement , there are various local norms as well as hostel curfews after a particualr time in night so majorly the night life is chilling with friends in hostel room and enjoying, Its not very vibrant, but safe.
