Review of Fakir Mohan Autonomous College, Balasore

Our college needs to be improved in all areas. 1. For drinking water. 2. Library facilies are not so good. We get to issue book once a month and that is on a specific date. That specific date is always a holiday and we can't issue any book on that day. 3. Our infrastructure is getting improved so that's a positive point.

Our course curriculum is good but not excellent. This year the curriculum has changed for new comers and seems pretty good. Our examinations are conducted by autonomous. Every semester is mostly 6 months long. There are mid-semesters too.

Yes there are some placements and job opportunities provided from our college.Most of the students apply for jobs through off campus.Others opt for higher studies.I am not aware of the fact that our college provide internships.

Our college celebrates so many events like, 1. Independence day 2. Republic day 3. Ganesh Puja 4. Saraswati puja 5. Gandhi Jayanti We also celebrate many cultural program and collge functions. Recently our college had organized a drama performed by the faculties.

Fee structure for Computer Science and BBA are high (extra 10,000) because those are self financed.But for other courses, it is feasible. The admission fee is nearly 1000 rupees and the examination fee for a semester is 750 rupees.

Yes there are scholarship. But I am not aware of the fact that whether it is offered by our college. But I do know that it is provided by other companies. I dont know whether there are any loan services offered by our college.

There are so many extracurricular activities in our college like, 1. Cultural activities 2.various competitions, Etc. The labs are in a well condition and still modified. The Indoor sports have good facilities but outdoor sports are not good.

Our alumini network is pretty good. Our seniors are also good. They help us. The seniors helps the guys who come for admission to our college for the first time. So yes, they both are helpful. The events we do in our college is by guided by the seniors.

At first I applied form for admission but my marks was not same as the cut-off. I waited for another round and then I got the admission. At first we have to apply an online form and have to submit the print-outs near any college with 300 rupees. After some days, the merit list will be available on the internet.

The faculties of our college are good at teaching. We get 90% syllabus done before the mid-semester. Talking of my course, we have got awesome faculties who help us whether it is study or any other career problems.
