A Short Overview of GITS, Udaipur

Reality of RTU (Rajasthan Technical University) is that their Engineering courses are outdated. Faculties teach other things out of course to train students for Industries (Not all except the liked Faculties) By Just scoring good in RTU exams you will never get placed in any industry. I think, RTU should make course curriculum by following and refering to other prestigious institutions. The course needs a big upgrade. Semester exams happen every 6 months and in one semester you have to give 2 midterms and some tests.

Interships are usually based upon student's CGPA and are usually private without stipend. Students have to search for themselves for internship opportunities. Briefly, I liked the college. It has good connectivity with places. The area is safe. Infrastructure and facilities are decent. While I didn't liked the too much rules and regulations of the college.

From 6th semester students get eligible for placements. Top recruiting companies are Secure Meters, Larsen and Turbo, Wonder Cement, App perfect etc. The highest package - 8 lpa The lowest package - 3.2 lpa The average package - 6 lpa Job profiles offered were : Maintenance Engineer, Production Engineer , Electrical Engineer, Design Engineer etc. Currently I don't have any plans but I am researching for next step after degree.

Yashasvi Scholarship(Merit based) 3. State Scholarships (Post matric scholarship for Rajasthan domiciles) 4 Girls State and National Scholarships

There are numerous Festivals and Tournament in First year of college. But things get changed from second year. Library have only the books for Degrees and doesn't have books of good authors. Sports activities are stopped in college after second year. You even don't get a sports or extra curricular activities period from second year.

I applied to various colleges. I got admission in RIET( Rajasthan institute of Technology, japur) , MNIT ( Malviya institute of Technology, jaipur). I only applied for colleges in my home State. This college is very near to me. And my Parents, Told me to take Admission in this college. To get Admission you Can apply by JEE (JOSAA counselling) , REAP ( Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process) and direct admission by management quota.

The Faculty to Student ratio in my Branch (Electrical Engineering) is 70:1 , which is quite high. But by using big classrooms and speakers with smart boards Teachers can interact with every student. Don't bother about Student ratio. Some of very Good Faculties were Dr. C.P Jain, Mr. Abhishek Sharma, HOD Raunak Jangid, Dr. Shripati Vyas. These personalities have so much knowledge in their field and are always helpful. There no any specific faculty whom I didn't liked except Mr manoj Labana who is not even a teacher he is a lab assistant. He is very disrespectful towards students . And the one is Cashier mam , I didn't know her name but she is very bad and Everyone in my college dislikes her. Semester exams are quite easy. If studied 1 week before exams. Almost 70% students pass the exams with no backlogs.

There is no GYM in college. There are cafeterias in hostel also. Hostel timings are 7:00 am - 9:00 pm. There are numerous Hotels and cafe outside college also. They are safe for night also . If you are outside student. You must tour and explore Udaipur. It's a very pleasant city.
