Course Curriculum Overview

5

I choose AI & ML for its focus on trending technologies like Machine Learning, Python, and Data Science. The curriculum covers theoretical concepts well but lacks industry exposure and live projects. Exams are held twice a semester with one final, and difficulty is moderate. The course needs more practical labs, workshops, and real-time projects to make students industry-ready.

Internships Opportunities

4

Our college provides a wide range of internship opportunities across various domains such as Software Development, Data Science, Core Engineering, Management, and Research. Some internships are from AICTC,Intrnfret. Performance-based incentives (?1,000 - ?3,000 approx). 1.Building small web applications 2.Data cleaning and EDA projects 3.Python automation tasks Real-world coding experience, portfolio projects for resume and GitHub.

Placement Experience

3

From the running of 3rd year ending semester students become eligible for campus placements. Deloitte, infosys, cognizant and some more with 1000+ offers. The highest package in my AI&ML branch is nearly 10 lpa and average package is around 3 lpa. I expecting around 65% students of each branch has placements. My plan is to crack GATE exam to join iit mtech.

Fees and Financial Aid

I joined ANITS college through AP EAPCET SC category. My tuition fee is ?86,000 per year for AI-ML branch.I am not eligible to fee reimbursement so I pay 86k per year and iam a day scholar. Management quota students pay around ?2,20,000 yearly. Fees remain mostly the same, with small increases.

Campus Life

5

Campus life at ANITS is enjoyable during fests like "ANITS Fest" held in Feb-Mar. Library has good books, classrooms have projectors, and there are clubs like Coding Club and NSS for extra activities and learning. The library has a good collection of engineering books and journals, but limited for AI-ML specialization. Classrooms have projectors and Wi-Fi, but not all rooms are smart classrooms. Sports activities like cricket, volleyball, and badminton are conducted during fests and college tournaments. There are student-run clubs like the Coding Club, Literary Club, and NSS Unit, which organize events, workshops, and social activities. Overall, social interaction is decent, and college fests and clubs help students refresh from academics.

Admission

I applied for other private colleges like Gayatri vidya parisad and Raghu Engineering College, but chose ANITS as it had better reputation, location near my hometown and good faculty for AI-ML. I got admission through AP EAMCET counselling with a 50,000 rank under ST category. The cutoff for SC in AI-ML was around 35,000. The admission process was smooth, done online through APSCHE web counseling. I couldn’t get into top universities like JNTUK due to my rank.

Faculty

4

The faculty-student ratio in AI-ML is around 1:25. Faculty members are supportive towards students and approachable, especially during project work and lab sessions. I like Dr.Santosh sir for clear teaching in Machine Learning. Some faculties focus more on theory and less on practicals, which makes learning boring and i'm not interested to mention particular names of that faculty. We have 2 Mid exams in every semester. In each semester two subjects are easy and remaining are moderate to hard.Only few students failed and The course follows own autonomous college curriculum with subjects like AI, ML, Python, Data Science.

Interview Experience

5

For admission into my college, the process was mostly merit-based through entrance exams such as ap eapcet, jee.Test Pattern (Ap eamcet Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) in 3 Hours duration with MCQs.No negative marking. Some students who joined through special quotas like Management Quota. I focused on NCERT textbooks, previous years’ question papers, mock tests, and used online resources like YouTube lectures and test series apps for practice.

Night Life

5

There is no gym inside the campus, but students use nearby private gyms. Nightlife around ANITS is calm and limited as the college is located in a suburban area. The college library and cafeterias close by 5 PM, and the campus and hostel in-time is 6:30 PM for students. Popular student hangout places outside are Bheemili Beach, MVP Colony, and local tea stalls near the college.

From 4th year we train for placements ,and from second year itself we start doing internships , mostly we do internships on our own without college support. Placements are mostly given to those students who have above 70% and no backlogs.most of the try to join in companies and few might continue their studies for Mtech.

Placement Experience:

The placements used to be great and one who was worthy and put in the work could easily secure the job ,but in 2025 there is a huge shift in the paradigm of jobs thanks to emergence of AI thus placements are no longer a given ,you have to be both lucky and skillfull to get accepted, also most companies tend to brush off students with less than 70 percent cgpa for their offering so keeping cgpa above 70 is recommended.
