- It's a friendly environment were u get to learn from various faculty from nursing tutors to phd faculty spoken English is the medium of instruction and teaching as well as tamil sometimes to help students who don't understand
- You are not been stressed like other colleges every year cultural and sports day is celebrated and other programs too like onam pongal and Christmas celebration
- Their is no ragging in our college and placement we can get in big hospital like MGM some of our senior are working their
Dislikes
- Food is the hostel is ok not bad it's not fully tamil nadu food
- It's far from main Chennai City 60km so if your around Chennai it's best to stay either in hostel or rented flats near by many students option to stay in flats
- The hospital exposure is not good infrastructure but you will get to expose in practical clinical posting in other government hospital as well as MGM hospital,cancer institutions
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum are arranged properly but the timing is just 6 months so students really need to work hard to finish everything including practical and other things like seminar, practice teaching Teaching style is lecture teaching You get only one week to prepare for your exams Library are really helpful
Fees and Financial Aid
It is a bsc nursing course semester pattern Year wise -232000-/- 4 year course,it's semester pattern ,each year before we have to pay 2,32,000 before the next year .. like for the first year during the 2nd semester before the examination we paid our fees for the 3rd and 4th semester Tution fees =1,40,000-/- Hostel fees=85000-/- Hostel upkeep charges =5000 Healh insurance=2000 Other then that they will ask seperatly during the semester for practical and other co curricular activities like SNA money and other conference All are equally for even my friends no changes in fees structure
Campus Life
Their are onam celebration,pongal celebration and Christmas celebration and international conference that are held monthly and yearly we even gets certificate which are helpful for our degree and compitition are held on nurses day and cultural and sports are held yearly The books in the library are approximately 5000 approximately and are very good books which we can use for our studies form journals to textbook of every semester The classroom has lecture teaching using ppt presentation Sports event are held and even the college compete with other colleges for football matches Students as a SNA committee which their are leaders opted bh the students who help in every program accordingly to the committee
Admission
I'm a student from andaman and nicobar islands i went for other colleges in tamil nadu but they needed first preference was those students who are studying in tamilnadu and fees structure was more compared to this college i came and the process of admission was based on entrance examination and it was an easy process
Faculty
Faculties are very good they are friendly mannered and you can approach them for help we have mentor mentee session 5 students has each 1 faculty The exams are their internal assessment through out the semester and 1 session examination and one final examination The curriculum is good semester pattern same
Night Life
The campus as a canteen in the mbbs students colleges and library at our college buliding and public area is available The campus is big if your a hosteleers can be in the campus area during morning to evening and can enter the hostel at 9pm for attendance after that no one is allowed to go out before that you are allowed inside the campus for going to hostel or any sports activities inside the campus even you can order food from outside of you don't like hostel food For outsider or dayscholer timing is morning anytime till 7pm
