Mithra's Review On Shri Sathya Sai Medical College And Research Institute - [SSSMCRI], Chengalpattu

Mci chose the college for me it was last on my list.My score wasn’t up to the mark for any government college of my choice.There is nothing that I actually love about this college except the really cool garden they maintain which also sort of kills the vibe with all the monkeys running around. I opted the course mainly because I wanted to join the army and also be a doctor so I decided to work my level best to get into AFMC.But that didn’t happen so I decided to join for PG there.

Everything about the course and curriculum is great but the patients are less considering this is a rural area and the fee for treatment is quite high too. Faculty members are great we have routine tests. The best teacher that I’ve so far come across is DR.KHAFEEL he is an anatomy professor. He is just amazing at what he does. One can genuinely see that he really enjoys the subject as well as teaching us not just about anatomy but about life as well.

None of the events happened due to the lockdown but supposedly they are huge according to the seniors but they take money in huge amounts for absolutely no reason. There are 6 houses and they conduct sports events as well I've heard not had first hand experience with any yet.

Sports facilities are quite okay. I'm a football player but there is no girls football team here which is kind of bumming. The gyms aren't a pretty good for the girls hostel but it's well equipped for the boys. There is no WiFi in the college and it is amazing enough if you get a range inside some parts of the college building and there is no range inside the hospital and neither do they provide wifi. The size of the library is huge but the ac doesn't work sometimes or they switch it off most of the time. They don't allow our bags inside or to even take snacks which makes it really hard to study for long hours. And the library shuts down at 7:30pm. Lab equipments are all pretty okay.

Hostel rooms basically are two people in one. So it’s sharing and that’s the case for both ac and non ac rooms. Except for pg students where they get single rooms. Hostel accommodations are the only possible way to go people new to this area generally think. But almost less than a km away there is a huge apartment complex which is even better than the hostel even the costs and expenditure are less.
