Course Curriculum Overview

3

I rate the curriculum as moderate. The curriculum provides a strong foundation in theoretical subjects while lacking practical applications. Each semester has a project and a case study that increases the student's interest. Suggestions - Include Modern Technologies and should focus on soft skills .

Placement Experience

3

After the 5th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. Mostly companies come in the 7th sem. Companies like TCS, Infosys, LTIMindtree have visited and around 300, 100,80 students got selected respectively. The average package is around 4 lakh. 60 percent of students get placed .

Fees and Financial Aid

Year-wise fees - 175000 Additional Registration Fees - 3000 per sem For all the streams, the course fees are the same. You can join with tuition fees waiver scheme, where you have to pay only 60000 per year. Now the course fees have increased to 300000, and I do not think they are providing the value for it.

Campus Life

4

In January, a three-day annual function is held, which includes the farewell and freshers party; apart from that, all other cultural fests and tech fests are held every two months. Sports and extracurricular activities are held every 6 months.

Hostel Facilities

5

Facilities are consists of iron bed, wardrobe, table for study and other facilities like hot water and purified water for drinking . Hostel price currently near 100000 per year which is high as compared to local price. Students prefer to stay outside by renting room.

Admission

I have got an admission form few other colleges, but the reason I chose is the nice environment, near my house and reviews from a few alumni. Yes, I have not got that much JEE rank to get into government colleges . Above 60% in 10th and 12th is enough with JEE rank below 400000 . The overall admission experience is smooth.

Faculty

5

Faculty members are well-known and supportive, encouraging participation in hackathons and all technical events. All faculties are approachable. The faculty members I like most are Debendra Muduli and Surendra Nanda. The teaching style of both is so good. Some of the lab assistants are cruel and a burden to you. Exams are conducted in 2 phases first one is mid sem and the second is End sem. Mid sem is of 20 marks and End sem is of 100 marks. Exam difficulty level is moderate. Around 15 % of students fail to clear.

Night Life

1

Yes, there is a gym and a good library. Campus timing is from 9.30 AM to 5.30 PM adding lunch break from 1.30 to 2.30 Hostel is open till 9.00 pm while front and back gates close after 6.30 pm . Yes local peoples are good andoutside the campus you will get some good places in 5 km area.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

From 7th sem the students became eligible for campus selection. Companies like Infosys, EVEREADY, ACC , ultratech and many more offering annual packages starting from 2lakhs to 8lakhs. Highest 8lakhs annual packages and average was like 3.5lakh to 4.5 lakh. Approximately 70 to 80 percentage of students are getting placements every year. After getting the degree i want to do a job in electrical companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because at first I was interested to automobile engineering but I didn't got it from other college so I preffered this mechanical engineering. It is a very though course as it seems. And there was 1:7 for faculty and student ratio. Faculties were highly qualified and some did PhD and m. Tech and other are fresher. The teaching skill differ person to person. The thermodynamics faculty was very excellent. In every year there was 2 semester and it is a little difficult. And before semester there was internal and viva.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Padmanava College of engineering is coming under Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT , odisha). As there is always a myth about private colleges that they help in cheating but from my experience padmanava College is strictly against cheating and rather it supports quality of education. If you are a hard working student you will pass the exam very easily.
