Every student is expected to complete internship for around 8 weeks atleast as part of their curriculum. There are summer internships and project internships provided by company based on duration. Companies like Biocon, RGCB etc offers internships in Biotechnology.
Placement Experience
From the third year of the degree, the students are exposed to placement trainings and sit for placements. As for Biotechnology the placements offered in the university is limited. The core companies that coome provide a package of 3-4LPA. And for higher package we will need to apply in non-core companies. However other departments have high package up to 15-16 LPA.

Admission
I decided to join in Karunya because of the infrastructure, academic programs and the values the university provides in overall lifestyle of a student. I wanted to pursue Biotechnology and Karunya was one of the top universities to provide this course.
Faculty
There are mentors assigned for every student and each mentor has around 12 students. The student to faculty ratio is around 6:27. All faculties are very supportive and easy to appraoch. There are 3 Internal Assessments conducted per month and the end semester examination. My favourite faculties are Dr. Muthukumar and Dr. Ridling as they are very supportive and also sincere in their work
Night Life
The rules are very strict and students are not permitted to leave the hostel. Inside the hostel there are hangout spots, shops, gyms etc, which helps to keep the students occupied. There are also study hours from 8:30 pm to 10:30 pm.
