Likes
- Boys to girl ratio is very even at almost 1:1 which is pretty good
- I liked the diversity in the college a lot with students from all across India and even outside
- Faculties have a lot of experience with each one of them having years of teaching knowledge in their niche
Dislikes
- Campus building has 6 floors with only 2 floors allotted to SCMS and other 4 being with the MBA wing
- Sports facilities could be better with more emphasis on inter college tournaments and infrastructure within college etc
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is very diverse as even though I'm specialising in Business Analytics i have exposure to marketing courses, finance courses and even language specific courses like German and French.
Internships Opportunities
I don't have much knowledge about the internships provided by the college all I am aware of is PinClick had the highest placement offered to one of the students here which was pretty awesome for a BBA degree in India
Placement Experience
Placements are on par with other colleges offering the same course, if not better. With companies like PinClick coming on campus for students to apply and become a part of, and several other marketing related placements
Fees and Financial Aid
Overall - 600000 which is broken down to 350000 for tuition fee and 250000 for hostel with an increment of 10% yearly. Course is decently priced as opposed to other universities and colleges in Bangalore charging lot more for the same
Campus Life
There are so many clubs and committees you can be a per of in this college. I personally chose Academics and Student Welfare and Development committee to be a part of. Which has Been a fun experience overall
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are 4 sharing only. So that can be a little too less privacy from time to time but overall cleanliness, food and hygiene is pretty good for the LILAC hostel of symbiosis bengaluru. It's not a compulsion to stay in the hostel
Admission
As a kid I've always wanted to get my business degree from a reputed college, and symbiosis being one of the biggest names across India for the degree made me inclined towards this more than any other college
Faculty
Faculties have in depth knowledge of their respective subjects with years of experience in the same, they give detailed insights for all the topic and are very easy to talk to and approach and are keen on solving queries
Interview Experience
I wrote my WAT followed by a PI session with the faculties at SCMS Bengaluru. Interviews were detailed and faculties there made me feel comfortable and made sure the nervousness I had was gone with them frequently making jokes here and there
Night Life
Campus is somewhat on the outskirts so the nightlife is not as great. With connectivity not being as good to the main city of Bangalore. In time for hostel is 10pm so you gotta get in before that, so nightlife is pretty average
