- the teaching skills of some teachers are so impressive and understanding
- also there is a very huge library which is digitalised and helpful for the students
Dislikes
- the washrooms which are so dirty and uncomfatable to use
- heard that the placements are not soo good which means not so high package
- some of the teachers teach like being sleepy
Course Curriculum Overview
i was actually looking for computer science but couldnt make it so chose electronics and communication as my branch and i dont regret it. as the electronic industries are now in boom we are really very exited and well prepared for the real-world challenges. it would be better if the teachers come a bit out of text books and teach us practically ehich is neded. until now i dont have problem with the frequency and timings of the exam.
Fees and Financial Aid
year wise fees-115000 tution fees-same,admission fees-once already paid ,lab fees-included in the admission fees,exam fees-2500 mine was through KCET so 115000,my batchmates who came through management seat pay across-300000 SSPand NSP the amount may vary from 10000 but not recieved any till date
Campus Life
we can engage in many programs which includes BGS UTSAV where all the departments of BGS and SJBIT joins and celebrate it as a festival where so many celebrities are invited and also etnic day ,cultural day and freshers day and other. we can get all kinds of text book of all the subjet and also we get magazines ,newspaper also in the library. inside the classroom we are provided with projector where we can also view the pdfs and other. there is a huge opputunity for the sports person to participate in their respective sports and also there is ground for all kinds of sports.
Admission
i initially applied for RNSIT ,BNMIT, SJBIT ,GAT and many but in first round i had got GAT for ECE then i thought of waiting for second round as there was time and then i got SJBIT .i thought about the campus and placements would be good and joined SJBIT. I didnt get rejected but i didnt got selected because it was through KCET rankings as my ranking was 32000 i could make it to SJBIT. once you get your KCET results,we can apply for the colleges and according to the cutoffs of each branch we get selected,for first round it was across 25000 for ECE and it deducted at second round.
Faculty
some of the faculties are really so un touch with the students that they clear all the doubts and encourage to participate in several programs. the faculty i liked was latha ma'am,she used to take us C programming and her teaching skills are to the next level which keeps the class interactive in one or the other way. i cant meantion the name of the faculty who i didnt like but he was one of the most strict teachers i have ever seen and was scolding for all the small things. we usually have 3 internals and one final sem exam per sem and almost all the students cope up with the exam and the difficulty level depends on how the student is prepared for it.
Night Life
there is also gym facilities and also cafeterias inside the campus itself and it works up to 10pm. in girls hostel ther will be attendance called and also they have to be in within 7pm. inside the college all the canteens and also the ground is the best place to hangout and outside the college i would suggest the global village road to hangout which is also very near to the college.
