- Even though the infrastructure is good but it requires some improvements. Like the labs aren't renovated etc.
- No clubs or student run bodies are present in the campus
- Due to implementation of NEP, the transition isn't smooth and there are few hiccups here and there.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is updated and is on par with central universities. The curriculum is relevant if you want to make your career in research. More distinct and relevant additional electives could be incorporated into the curriculum as some aren't as relevant as they used to be.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees breakup is not provided by the college however a registration fee of 500 is required while filling the form. The fee varu according to the category of student and the seat. For government funded seat, it's around 3800 and for self financed/management, it's around 45000
Campus Life
National level conferences are held in department. Recently mycological society of India conducted a conference in department of botany. Sports week is organised as well but the sports being played aren't diverse. Student run clubs are non existent.
Admission
The reason I applied to this college is due to its history and the research scholars this university has given. Botany department of JNVU is considered to be the best in Rajasthan. The college is close to my home so that's one of the reasons I chose this college too.
Faculty
The student teacher ratio is quite good as for core subjects, the ratio is 1:33 and for elective subjects it's 1:12. The faculties are really great in their respective fields and they are easily approachable. Three exams are conducted half yearly, 2 internal (quiz and mid-term) and an end term.
Night Life
There's no cafeteria in the department or the university. Gyms are present in hostels but are in shambles. A central library and an in-house department library is present where you can issue books. Collection of books is great as well.
