Likes

the infra structure is much better than other colleges
the teachers make efforts to acknowledge the students
the classroom as well as restrooms are well maintained

Dislikes

the campus is extremely small compared to other colleges
the rules are very strict and the child can't even rest properly
they don't even provide a single min to have lunch

Course Curriculum Overview

the corce ( bachelor in computer applications ) is more demanding than the other courses . in our cours we can easily find a job in which we can work from home and do the work when ever and from where ever we want

the fees of my course is around 60k annually. they take the fees in two different sections. first they take the fees of six months and afterwards they take the fees of rest six months . overall the total annual fees is around sixty thousand

Campus Life

Very good campus. I love it. Second this is very peacefull the environment helps student to concentrate easilyon their assignments many innovative events are heald in college which helps student to showcase their talent

Admission

the infrastructure of this college is better and the main resion is that this college is near to the place where i live . it is easy to reach college in less time . moreover i was i get to know that this college is good in studies

Faculty

overall the college is good but the principal is very strict . she dont even give a single minute to have a lunch . even we are not allowed to go in ground when we are have free lectures . rest the college is good

Interview Experience

No i got admission like a lottery method it is like we have to give our names on the preferences of our college which I want to go in the series.Then there is a lottery if you have higher percentage.Or you are still feeling the criteria you got for preference than it shifts according

Night Life

The nightlife of the college is peaceful , which helps students to concentrate easily during their exams but it is also conserning for safty purpose overall it is acerage but the security needs to be improved

DAV College Chandigarh – Strong Academics, Good Location, and Engaging Campus Life

Placement Experience:

Placement cell of out college is quite good. Placemenr drive generally start at the beginning of 5th semsterbof every 3 year course. Companies like DELL, HDFC , ICICI BANK, ACCENTURE, DELLIOTE and many more came to provide employement. Highest package after UG is 10 lakhs offered by company to our college student.

Students can attend placement seminars in their last year of graduation. There are mostly placement offers for the role of sales and marketing or chat-call executives. IT companies do visit also but very rarely and they only hire only 5 to 10 candidates. There are sometimes unpaid internship opportunities available too.

DAV college : 'Not everyone's cup of Tea'

Course Curriculum Overview:

BCA in itself is not a very good course that will gurantee your placement in a good company with high package, Its relevance is high only beacuse its easy to complete and get the degree. For good packages you have to do MCA or work harder on your skill to get a good job. BCA helps in building base of your coding career, it offers a good grasp of C/CPP, Java and DataStructure.

Sggs is alright, if you dont expect much

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because i was interested in computers and didn't wanted to do arts, and i was underqualified for other streams. Every class has about 45 students, the number vary but not much. The faculty and teachers are helpful. There maybe some slacking by both sides here and there but its alright. The teaching mathod varies. If you know what youre doing the exams are not that hard to pass.

Excellent collage in chandigarh

Placement Experience:

Every year number of companies visit college to give student jobs. Well known companies visit in college like Google Amazon Tata Nike etc. In the last semester we are eligible for campus placement. The highest package was given by Amazon to one of the student of our college Was 2 crore per annum. The average package of our college was 20 lakh per annum. There are likely all the students Get placement. I had planned to become a software developer after my degree was completed

First of all this college is most renowned college of the Tricity and Being Government aided College it has it own importance . And if anyone of students is getting admission in this college , no one would have deny the opportunity. I have got admission in other colleges too but I preferred this college for its various facilities provided. For admission process you have to apply via centralised admission portal where you get the admission on the basis of your merit which is a sound method according to me.
