Course Curriculum Overview
First of all, I have chosen this course because I have a better understanding of subjects in the field of computers and also IoT is the subject of my interest. But also certain drawbacks in the particular course even though it is of my personal interest, i.e few of the subjects are irrelevant in this field. Eg. Engineering graphics skills. This subject is not at all required in the particular field as it is related to computers. Also the syllabus of some subjects is a bit outdated. Those are the only drawbacks that actually exist.
Internships Opportunities
There are many companies which provide internship opportunites like Tata, Bajaj, Mahindra, etc. The college also has a placement cell for the guidance of students to achieve the maximum output from themselves
Fees and Financial Aid
I have chosen Diploma in Computer Engineering and IoT. For this course I have paid Rs. 80695 for the first academic year 2024-25 as the tuition fees. For the registration I had paid Rs. 1000 as per the Central Allotment Procedure (CAP) rule.
Campus Life
The college campus is quite active on the daily basis as the students eagerly participate in every activity and also the response from the college is also quite well. Social fests and events are conducted anually on the ocassion of new year. Events like Bollywood Day, Traditional Day and Annual Day also take place
Admission
I had applied in the GPP and Dy Patil College as an option for this one. Also according to my result I was eligible for admission in all the colleges. But this college I chose specifically is for my relevance. The other colleges I had chosen were far off from my home and the distance was too much time consuming. But this college is at a very minimal distance from my home and is quite relevant for me to attend it daily. I have not received any rejection from any other college before. The admission process is quite good as well, as the procedure was not too complicated.
Faculty
According to my personal observation, all the faculties are polite and excellent in their teaching methods. Few faculties are a bit rude and arrogant but that is totally dependent on the behaviour of the students and the particular instance.
Night Life
I have not yet experinced night life in my college yet. But according to my friends it is quite engaging. There are many places near the college you could spend time in, like gardens, Cafes , restaurants and even mall. Also the location of the college is so relevant that only at a distance of like 1 km is the Railway station and bus station situated which is probably more relevant for hostel boarders
