What Students Say
Likes
- I really love my college campus, one could easily find it small as compare to other private universities but its just our cozy not so little space.
- The fact that my whole college is a/c centralised, from reception to even classes, labs, libraries and even canteens.
- And ofc the main thing food our college has 2 canteens and 2 separate coffee stations, CafeCoffee Day & Nescafe.
Dislikes
- My college has a rule that everyone is suppose to wear college id even inside the campus, and if you're found roaming without it there's a 100rs fine. Which I find totally irrelevant
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is fine; the difficulty/doors to knowledge are opened level by level. So one can easily cope without feeling overwhelmed, many sessions, workshops and much more are organised throughout the couse to upscale our knowledge, brush up our skills. Some of our courses specific, but some are also simply to give us knowledge about different aspects.
Internships Opportunities
I'm a first-year student, so I don't know anything about this. But yes, what I do know is that a lot of internship opportunities are provided to final-year students. I have talked to seniors, and they told me that yes, college provide internship opportunities
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fees 1,20,000 lakhs Caution fees 10,000(One time) (Refundable at the end of the course/leaving college) Registration fees 900(Non-refund) Transportation fees 48,000(Bus service), 24,000(Shuttle bus seervice) Alumni fees 2,000(Non-refund) (To be paid in the 1st semester) Scholarships and alot of finanacial aids are also available, there's a vast variety of schoalrships like female student, sibling, on the basis of entrance exams(CUET, JEE, etc), and many more
Campus Life
College life is super perfect from cozy corners to comfortable study sesiions; KRMU got you all covered. There are a lot of fests that happen, but as I'm just in my 2 semester, so don't have that much knowledge. Some popular fest of my college are Edu fiesta, Rendezvous and Tech Odyssey.
Admission
I gave CUET-UG twice as I was aiming for DU, but without any quota and avg marks, along with DU's cutthroat competition, I failed. Then, my family started searching for a private college that has a good reputation, was under budget, and has a good rating in my course, and then we came across KRMU. It was under buget, good reputation and ofc most important the ranking of the college in my course is also very good, all the college have good international affairs. So we went to KRMU to complete the admission process, it was a very easy and quick process we were done with everything within an hour. I'm a 'Psychology (hons with research)' student and for my course the baisc eligibility is atleast 65% in highschool could be from any stream.
Faculty
The faculty of the overall college is good. But as I'm a SOHS(School of humanities) student so I can talk about my school's faculty in detail. The faculties all around the school is very good, helpful and warm. But the best faculty I loved and felt comfortable and connected till now is Dr. Ahana Saha & Dr. Madhurima Mukherjee, trust me when I say this these are 2 are simply amazing faculty in my college with Ahana ma'am in my 1 semester I kid you not I've literally texted/callled as late as midnight about my new college life crisis or for simply any guidance and she was always there. Now moving onto the exam pattern, it comprises of mid-term & end-term. Both requires a min of 75% attendance and mid-term is of 20marks(could differ for other schools I think) & end-term is of 50marks(EVS exam of 1 semester is of 100marks(objective type) atleast it was OB type in my turn). Leaving Perspectives & Biopsychology exams are not that difficult, these 2 subjects are also not that difficult just there's alot to memorise, understand.
Night Life
I'm not a hostler, but in my 1 sem during the NAAC visit, I did get to stay in college till late evening, and trust me, KRMU at night is super mesmerizing. The cafeteria & canteen closes after 4 pm, so students can buy whatever they want before they get on the bus and before starting a long ride to their home. The localities around the college are safe(but use your brain). AIRIA mall & Skyjumper are 2 famous hangout spots in my college.
