Course Curriculum Overview

5

The inclusion of up to date information regarding current trends. It provides a solid foundation for practical application, but could use more real-world projects. The theoretical base is strong, adequate for further academic pursuits. More frequent updates to reflect current technology. Increased use of interactive teaching methods. Exams were well-spaced, but some were overly theoretical. The difficulty level was fair, but more practical application based exam questions would be beneficial.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees we pay 1.5 lakh per year excluding the hostel and canteen charges. Tution fees : 1.5 lpa , caution fees : 1k-2k pa, registration fees : 3000 pa, pwc category also applied here, Also one of my friends fees is 5k per annum

Campus Life

Annual function are zygon, rythm nova and also some cultural activities like new year diwali etc. But the biggest fest is zygon. There are no more books in library but not that bad. There are nice facilities and technology provision in classrooms. There many students who joined different clubs like creative, CCC, cultural etc.

Admission

I also applied to KIIT University and CV Raman Global University. I received confirmed admissions from all three. I chose Silicon University because of its smaller class sizes, which offered more personalized attention, and the specific focus of the curriculum on emerging technologies that better aligned with my career goals. Silicon University’s emphasis on practical skill development. I did not receive any rejections. However, if I had not gotten into Silicon university, I would have considered that my exam scores might not have met the specific cutoff for my desired program. Or that perhaps my interview did not show my full potential. The admission process at Silicon University typically involves these steps: Eligibility: Must have passed 10+2 with required marks in relevant subjects (Physics, Mathematics, etc., for engineering). Exams Accepted: JEE Main, OJEE, and sometimes their own entrance test. Preferred Exam: OJEE is often preferred by Odisha students, and JEE Main is also highly considered. Cutoffs: Cutoffs vary significantly by program and year. For popular engineering branches, JEE Main and OJEE cutoffs can be competitive. You would need to check the official Silicon University website for the most current cutoff information.

Faculty

Faculty incharges are so much Friendly. And some students are assigned by a faculty advisor and a student mentor. They help them if they have any doubt and clear that. I personally and many of the students like mukti mam who teaches dsa , she is very friendly and missing when teaching and she teaches us very deeply untill we understand. There are some faculty we don't like for theirs behaviour. There are two main exam in one sem mid term and end term , the exam pattern was not that much hard or easy . Out of 100, 10-12 percentage was unable to clear it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs
