Course Curriculum Overview

4

- I dreamed about taking CSE in some IIT but when i failed my JEE advanced exam, then I am searching for good private college near my home location and then I select KIET as it has good name in our locality and it is only 100km from my hometown. - Curriculum is old fashioned just like Indian Education system but it offers good oppurtunites to boost your technical skills as some faculty are very supportive and there are lots of technical clubs which runs after college where seniors helps juniors to boost their technical skills. - Course should inclue newly adaptive technology. We learn C in our first year but no company use C language as it is outdated. C language is good for learning basic but curriculum should adapt according to industry needs. We are learning machine learning in curriculum but currently machine learning got outdated and uses only generative AI and LLM. - Exams held in every 40-45 and level is easy.

Placement Experience

3

- Companies start coming in college from end of 6th sem to whole 4th year. - Some companies visited in kiet 2024 are TCS, Accenture, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, Capgemini. - Almost 60-70% students of my senior batch(20225 batch) got placed with a decent package - Highest placement is 60 LPA in soon network and average package is 5.11 LPA - I will do job for some years and then I can change plans accordingly

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees: 1,37,999 Tuition Fees: 1,12,099 Registration Fees: 3000 Alumni Fees: 1200 Medical and accidental insurance: 700 Career planning and student development:11,000 Book bank: 10,000 - There is a FW seat, i.e Fee waiver which reduces the tution fees by 1 lakh each year which only some meritorious student got during admission who has good rank in jee mains - Also there is cash prizes provided by college for extra meritorious students who achieved some great achievement or perform very well in university exams. - Also, the fees is increasing each year same as all colleges

Campus Life

5

- There is a technical event held each year for 1 day(generally in november) and there is 1 cultural fest of 3 days each year(generally in April). - Library is very huge with lots of book available offline as well as online books also provided by college. - Each classroom has Smartboard and ACs - There is sports fest too with 3 day event and there are clubs for almost each excurricular activity like sports, dance, singing, nukkad natak, creativity, fashion, etc - Almost each club is run by student in which 3rd or final year students generally become president and manage the club

Hostel Facilities

5

- Hostels are good with good wifi speed, spacious rooms, good healthy food and supportive management system - Menu is good and made by accounting everyone. - Non-veg is not allowed in hostel mess - Hostels are available on first come first serve basis - Quality of food is good(not like we generally listen)

Admission

- I applied to nearby colleges of AKTU like ABES, AKGEC, RKGIT, GL bajaj and KIET but I am getting CSE in KIET and it also has good reputation so I choose this college. - No, My first choice in college is KIET so i got no rejection from other college except IIT :) - After jee mains and jee advanced exam, there is AKTU councelling with name UPTAC where you can participate with your jee mains rank.

Faculty

4

- In each department, there are 25-30 teachers who are responsible to manage around 200 students of all years,i.e, 800 students. So there is 1 faculty to 40 students ratio. - Mostly faculty are supportive who helps in both academics and emergency. - There is a faculty named Mrs. Preeti Garg who taught me DBMS and currently teaching me software engineering and she is very polite to talk, her teaching skills are very good and she is very good by nature. I liked those teachers who treat students as a student not like a robot. - There is a teacher Mr. Vipin Deal which I don't like beacuse of his way of talking and he treats students as robot. Just give unnecessary work and scold them if they don't complete it. - There are 3-4 exams each semester, CT1, CT2, PUE and UE and levels are very easy. Just study one night before exam and solve PYQs and that's it to pass the exam

Night Life

1

- There is a gym and lots of cafeterias but they are opened only in daytime - Some shops opened in night but only upto 11:59 PM due to college restrictions. - Night life for hostellers is not good as we can't leave the campus after 9pm and girls can't leave the hostel after 8pm. There is no food outler after 12 AM. So night life is like enjoying with friends or alone in a room.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from the 3rd year. The placement of the college is decent. The average package for tech branches stands at 4-5 LPA. Most of the offers are made from mass recruiters like TCS, cognizant, etc. However, product-based companies also visit the campus but very few students get short-listed for them. The highest package for the 2025 batch was around 22 lakhs from JP morgan in which 2 students got placed. Microsoft also offered a package of 18 LPA. The placement percentage is around 50-60%. If you maintain 8+ CGPA and have the fundamentals clear then you can definitely secure a decent package from this college. The placement department of the college is supportive.
