Review of Saint Xavier's college

All in all, Saint Xavier's College, Rabchi is one of the best institutions of the Jharkhand and this country. The infrastructure and the ambeinece of the college is very cohorent and conducive for the overall development of students. The faculty is the best part about the college.

The course curriculum was gud but according to me it needs some improvements.Like the many things taught to us have no relevance what so ever for us in the real world. The curriculum should adopt more of a practical approach.

No we weren't provided any sort of internship by the college but we were taken for industrial visits for various projects.The industrial visits formed a part of our curriculum & the marks of it was added to our final marksheet.

The college didn't provide any sort of placements to us students during my time at the college. Although some companies used to come to our college for placements mainly for the techinal department. According to me the college really needs to work on this area.

The main events celebrated were the 1) Annual college festival called Xavier utsav 2) Annual sports meet 3) basketball competition 4) volleyball competition 5) Cricket tournament 6) Inter state quiz competition 7) Inter state debate competition 8) Various skits & nukkad natak. 9) Blood donation camps & other medical camps.

Fee structure is quite feasible based on the quality of education provided. Rs 30000 annual fee with exam fee of Rs 1500 isn't a big ask. Comparing this amount to other premier institutions it's nothing.

The scholarship was available for the students who passed with flying colours in their board exams, also the scholarship was available for the students of economically Weaker sections and also to the economicallt weaker castes like ST and SC.

The classrooms and labs were well furnished with all the high end facilities. Apart from that the machines and equipments were in good condition. The football and cricket pitch was in good condition & matches were conduted on it from time to time.

The hostel facility was provided only for boys, so I don't have clear idea about the facilities provided in the hostel. But judging on the reviews received from my male counterparts I facilities seemed up to mark.

I would say it's very helpful if you could get it from a credible and trustworthy person. They could easily put forward before you the pros and cons of the college and on it's basis you can decide about taking admission in the college.

The examination was conducted on semester basis, which consisted of two exams - Mid semester exams and final seems marks. Mid semester marks was of 20 marks and final semester exams was of 80 marks. Both were added in the final marksheet.

The admission process required us to fill the form first from the website then, after that the merit list was prepared accordingly. After that the various lists were prepared according to the marks secured by the candidates.

The faculty of the college was undoubtedly the best part about the college. The faculty was cooperative, punctual, hardworking towards the students. They rarely missed their classes and made it a point to help us in the best possible ways.
