Likes

The teachers have good experience of teaching and manage students well
Placement cell is very active and provide good opportunity to students in big companies
Course curriculum helps in both personal and professional development of individuals

Dislikes

I personally don't like the diversity of teachers because all are from same state.
I don't like the assignment and course selection because it is too complex and no time for self study
There are a few boundation on students which shouldn't be in a university.

Course Curriculum Overview

Improvements can be including relatable subject in course instead of unnecessary subjects. Exam timings are too much like every month we have exams practicals which is quite hectic. Difficulty level is medium.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 180000 per year

Placement Experience

After 6th sem students are eligible for placement. Companies like Accenture, tcs, cognizant, wipro, fidelity international, epam, cognida , hpe, visited our campus and over 2000 students are placed till date.

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 56000 per sem after 34000 scholarship through cucet exam. And maintaining 7.5+ cgpa. Yearwise two sem so 180000 fees. For other batches of aiml fees is 200000 per year. The only scholarship is through cucet and good marks in 12th.

Campus Life

Sports and extracurricular activities are high on campus. There are number of fests in college by different departments and clubs in college. Clubs of music ,art and dance . There are cu fest,tashan nights here.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is okayish. The meal menu is diverse but the quality is not that good it's just moderate. I rented a room in nearby society ek onkar it is convenient to travel to college. The hostel process is easy and affordable.

Hostel Fee: INR 90000 per year

Admission

I applied in many colleges like vit ,amrita,bits for selected but didn't choose them because of COVID period it was quite far from my home town. Admission process is very easy like one cucet exam and you can get admission easily.

Faculty

There is one faculty per 70 students. Student's relationship with faculty member is good except a few of those professor with unnecessary attitude. The soft skill faculty is best and are very supportive .

Night Life

Libraries are fully equipped with good book collection and e library is also there. There are 20-30 cafe in campus . Corner cafe, cruncy bites, food republic are places to hangout . Timings of hostel is till 8 pm for girls and 10 pm for boys.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My imperfectly perfect College life reviewed for everyone who needs it

Placement Experience:

Though when I got admission in this college, I saw the placement rates were very nice, around 95%, but maybe it was our session's fault. I passed out in 2024, and in that particular year, the placements were not as expected and as seen in the previous batch, so that was something very much disappointing because I paid so much money on a degree, only everything was good about the college, but in the end, placement matters during my session. Usually, the companies that hired for example, 10 students only hired two students.
