What Students Say
Likes
- Every teacher from the 6th semester were good at teaching.
- It's an affordable college for everyone.
- It's easy to understand the courses as they have a structure and revision for most of those.
Dislikes
- Unhygienic water facility. Water was always overflowing.
- Expensive materials not provided by the college that are needed everyday.
- No storage spaces for architecture students so we had to carry everything everyday.
Course Curriculum Overview
Not anything in particular as we didn't get the curriculum until later on. The course was pretty good once I started to work and realized it was to be used. Improve 3d teaching methods as none of the teachers seem to know how to render and they don't provide computers for students who can't afford gaming laptop to render. If they don't finish it, they fail and it's because you don't have a laptop. Timing of exam is around 1.5 hours and it was a fair amount of time .
Internships Opportunities
Alot of companies but only remember a few.. untitled design consultants, asro arcade and Skets studio. Roles: junior architect, junior interior designer, sales person Projects: I work with high end homes and do interiors for it. The others just work with basic blocking and architecture buildings like builder flats. Some do non residential spaces as well.
Placement Experience
5th semester. Students sent their resume or details and the ones who got selected we're called for a interview. I got selected in multiple places and got placed in untitled design consultants. Highest = 20k per month Lowest = 12k per month Percentage of students being placed was 98% Plans after degree: work
Fees and Financial Aid
It's 7500 per semester for tuition. Each semester lasts around 6 months. The course is of 3 years with 6 semesters. No break, only 4th semesters got 15 days break. Registration fees was none, you write an entrance exam called CET, if you get selected, you're placed. Compulsory charges: Mostly materials like paper, board , t scale, triangle scale etc because they don't provide it. Same fees for everyone as far as I know. Scholarships were only available for lower caste people or people from low income homes. I applied from general quota so couldn't avail any.
Campus Life
Festivals for national holidays and sometimes song fest only in the main campuses. No prizes provided for some. Very small library not much to read out of curriculum. No ac during summers. No storage. Only desks and sometimes not enough for people to sit. Blackboard provided and projector. Sports mostly none because their college is very small and can't play anything in that space. Student run groups included cultural music groups , dance clubs etc but college never showed appreciation by providing them resources.
Admission
Easier to apply to. Only applied for this one and got it. No, didn't get rejected anywhere. Admission is for all, just have to get good marks on CET exam. Not sure about the cutoffs but you go through rounds of selection from the courses you picked.
Faculty
Course was ok, easy and understandable. Exam marking was fair but a little tough on the grading as one has never got 10/10 on design schemes so it affected our grades. Faculty to students relationship is fine but some of them didn't have the knowledge of what they were teaching. I liked Suneet Sir because he was easy to understand and taught very well. Answered all our queries. And also payal mam and another mam that i forgot the name of but she teaches 6th semester AD class. Didn't like Vinita mam because she was using phone in the class and was almost the same age as us. Had no understanding of what she was suppose to teach. Exams every semester - midterm and end term. They're pretty easy if you studied. But if you didn't and slacked off, they failed. It's pretty relevant to the course curriculum.
Night Life
No hangout spot. Only a small shop with milk and ice cream. No gym No cafetaria Library was only good for the ac during summers. Good park about 500 m away from the college. Haven't been to the college at night so not sure.
