Course Curriculum Overview

4

The Curriculum is Good the college is supervised by Krishna University from guntur and provides us the best syllabus for our course related topics We prepared for Analytica techniques in our 1st Semester and in 2nd Smemster we learned how to culture different bacteria and 3rd we learned some Basics of Genetic engineering and in present semester we are preparing on medical biotechnology and bioinformatics and when it comes to chemistry we learned basics of chemistry like salt identification in 2nd Semester and focused on Organic Salts on 3rd Sem and present we are learning to analitically calculate Ph or composition of a component in a solution. The Faculty wont rush but explains every single topic slowly, after this sem we will have a short term internship upto 3 Months as CSP and in 6th sem we will have long term internship of 6 months The Exams are moderate and a student can score grace marks if he prepared from the beginning but the challenging thing is the TIME .In our college the majority of the semester score is depended on the MID exams but the challenging point is the exams are conducted for 5 days and 2 subjects are conducted per day,I dont know what about the other colleges but this short amount of time for every mid exam preparation makes it difficult and we attempt 100 marks paper within 2 hrs the paper contains 2 ,the 1st section contains short questions and total scores upto 40 marks and second section is 60 marks

Internships Opportunities

3

1.Currently for our department the college wont send us to any other companies it is accorded to us to chose a company but the company will allow us for internships 2.Aftter 1st year the college sent us to a project called CSP where we collected data from our villages

Fees and Financial Aid

THE COMPLETE YEARLY FEES IS 32000 AND IT IS THE WHOLE FEE STRUCTURE THE COLLEGE IS A MINORITY MISSIONARY TYPE BUT SOME OTHER COURSES LIKE B.SC AGRICULTURE,AVIATION HAVE HIGH FEE STRUCTURE UPTO 100000 I DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT SCHOLARSHIP CUZ I NEVER OPTED FOR THEM THE FEE STRUCRURE IS REASONABLE

Campus Life

4

1.When i am studying Intermediate i used to feel like i am locked around 4 walls and just lecturers were just made us study and we dont have any cultural fests during my intermediate but things are differemnt now after joining this college i got bored of fests we hear atleast 3 department oriented fests every month. The fest conducts contests like Quiz ,Elocution, Brainstorming and lot more based on the background of the department and yes they also conduct cultural festivals like sankranthi, pongal and christmas etc 2.Many students dont know that a building called library is existed in our college but yeah it existed only i go and read books there the library is small (compared to other colleges) and yeah we have e library in it and it is managed by another Prinvipal FATHER and we can find many topic related books and we have 2 libraries in our college a UG library and a PG library but the books are not well organized like once i found a psychology book named "48 laws of power by robert greene" at physics section 3.Classes are old and the rooms are okay for upto 60 students and the there are many rooms each room contains 1 white borad,a projector,a table and a chair some classromm project may not work but yeah they will repair them after reporting 4.When it come to sports we have many teachers on it and they are well trained and train us for many sports related activities for free and for extracurricular activities we have a seperate dedicated building named kalakshetra where they teach music and dances but charge some reasonable amount 5.Just Beside engineering college we have a students dedicated 3 storeyed building named YESJ (Youth Empowerment Service from Jesuits) every student run groups are there here

Hostel Facilities

2

1.As I said earlier the college hostel is not a good choice to stay cuz the food is not that much good and per room only 2 members can reside 2.You can predict the everyday meals after being in there for one week everyday we have sambar and a fry as lunch and evening we have different curries 3.There is no specific process to join the hostel if you are intrested you can consult the management once and can join there 4.In the college localty many PGs are available but i dont suggest them either but yeah some hostels provide good food but they are somewhat far from the college

Admission

For some reasons i dont wanted to study in any other state and my family in that situation cant pay for more and i decided to study in a missionary college and pursue higher education in any other country cuz the situation of our family is gradually increasing and i am not rejected for any college but at first i chose GITAM Vijayawada but the fee structure and the surroundings of the university doesnt satisfied us and i didnt chose any other universities again The admission process of our college is kinda easy there is no publicity from the college but the word will reach to the one who needed this college the college will conduct a test on the site of admission and if youn are passed your are honorably accepted to the college and it is easy to pass the test but it is difficult for the students who have no basic idea on that course. This test is used by the lecturers to identify the Attitude and Intelligence of the student.I got 90% on the test yeah i scored that much and it is easy to score more than that

Faculty

AFTER COMMENCING THE MAJOR/MINOR SYSTEM IN MANY UG COLLEGE IT MADE EASY FOR STUDENTS TO PURSUE AND FOCUS ON A SPECIFIC SUBJECT RATHER THAN FAILING IN A SUBJECT THAT THEY ARE NOT INTRESTED IN THE LECTURERS OF OUR DEPARTMENT ARE ONLY TWO BUT EFFICIENT THEY TRY THEIR BEST TO EXPLAIN US A SPECIFIC TOPIC AND I ESPECIALLY SUGGEST EVERYONE TO CHECK THE CHEMISTRY DEPARTMENT MANY PH.D PURSUED LECTURERS ARE THERE HERE AND THE ENVIRONMENT IS GOOD OUR DEPARTMENT LECTURERS WERE S SRILAKSHI MADAM AND DR SURESH BOTH ARE GOOD AT TEACHING US AND THEY PROVIDE THEIR BEST ATTEMPT TO TEACH US A SPECIFIC TOPIC AND IN THE CHEMISTRY DEPARTMENT THE LECTURERS I KNOW ARE: 1.DR K RAYAPPA REDDY 2.DR THOMAS 3.M SUDHA RANI MAM 4.DR SUBHA REDDY THEY ALL ARE BEST FROM CHEMISTRY DEPARTMENT

Night Life

2

1.In our college we have a place named college GYM but i suggest we should not call it like that the reason is the place is not eligible to call like that cuz most of the equipment is broken 2.I suggest anyone if you have budget join a hostel outside the college the reason is the food is not good and the way the hostel management sees students is not good the college opens at 7:30 and classes starts at 9:20 and ends at 3:20PM and shuts at 6 PM no man is allowed to enter the college premises after 6PM unless he have permission from any principal father inside 3.There are nothing like that and you can freely roam inside the college at night if the security allowed you(ik they wont allow anyone)

Placement Experience:

There are placement opportunities offered in the University but it is pretty low compared to private Universities. Companies like TCS, jio mart, Ramoji Film City often visit here for placements. As far as I heard the highest placement offered was 6LPA to an economics student. I plan to do MBA after my Retail management course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The quality education along with life values and spiritual discipline that one needs in life is provided. This is not found in quality, elsewhere. The course is designed and planned very well throughout the semester. Each paper is dealt with in-depth. The majors that one chooses in the final year helps students to explore more projects and open-ended experiments The university maintains a 1:40 teacher to student ratio. Each student is individually monitored and guided by professors. The university makes sure to hire teachers only with good teaching experience and with a Ph.D. Their explanation and concept delivery are at par with excellence. The term exams are conducted on time. The midterm exams start around 1 months after the beginning of sem. Along with the theoretical exams, one has to also pass in practicals. There is no grace marking in any case. One cannot expect important questions and related priorities in the paper. The only time to time preparation and a strong grip on concepts help.
