- My overall experience with Andhra University of distance BSC has been positive because the course is flexible and all allow me to study while managing my personal schedule.the silver in physics, chemistry, maths is strong enough to build a foundation
- The University provides printed study material and an online portal where I can access Books notification and exams, updates, weekend/contact classes and doubt, clearing sessions with faculty are helpful and teachers. Explain concepts in a simple way
- The fees are quite affordable compare to college, so the value for money is very good that is recognise, so it is helpful for government jobs, you studies like MSC/MBA and private sector opportunities leader
Dislikes
- Since it is distance mode, there is almost no campus, life, fast or daily social interaction with classmates networking with seniors and Peers are limited, so you have to be more active on your own to build Contacts.
- There is no dedicated placement or internship support for distance BSE student, so you have to search for jobs and intensive by yourself through portal and personal contacts, this can be difficult for students who are completely dependent on college
- Sometimes communication from university regarding material timetable or exam feel slow or confusing. You’re not check the website and follow up them about missing any important updates which can be stressful during exam time.
Course Curriculum Overview
I picked Andhra University BSC MPC because the subjects lined up perfect with my 12th physics like mechanics and first year, chemistry, inorganic organic physical maths with different equations and salt geometry, plus some computer basics.was flexible for my side hustles ,, no daily college hassle It sets you up decent for MSC or MCA later or government exam like SSC banking with all that analytical stuff, even because IT jobs, material jobs? Mostly theory, no real project, python AI stuff employee want now, so you got our sales teacher extras for that. They should add lab sims online, more coding, practical may data science options.videos are too short longer ones with example for self study Exam twice a year kind 2 quizzes/assignments, person for 30%, big and exam, 70% and December/Jain and June/July, not Too hard, 40% if you read books and assignments, most of us cleared first go/lazy ones repeats
Fees and Financial Aid
I did in physics, chemistry, maths through Andhra university distance education its good for working student like me. Course content: covers basics like mechanics waves in organic chemistry differential equation in year one then dynamics, optics, abstract algebra, advanced chemistry later includes English Hindi, computer, TOO.syllabus is solid for science foundation Platform and faculty: LMS portal for books videos, please weekend classes at study Centre with teacher who cleared the doubts, well lectures are short but clear.support we are helpline and emails works okay. Fees : paid 6400 Tution + thousand exam fees first year total 7500.same for the year 2-3, no big increase registration was 1000 one time. Full course 23,000 SE/ST batchmates AP government Bhoor Mensch reimbursement via Jana Bhoomi no separate scholarship Assessment: 30% assignments/quizzes, online, 70% and exams, practical at Centre. Placement : no campus placement cell for distance.I and friends applied ourselves got internship at local firms 8K stipend . Jobs around 3-4 LPA in IT/data entry after. Pros: cheap , flexible timing, degree same as regular, good for government jobs/promotions. Cons: need self study, discipline, Limited labs, no direct placement,
Campus Life
Campus live in BS is very limited, as there is no regular campus or daily college environment for us. No fast, club, or sports organised, specially for distance students interaction is mostly during weekend classes with basic class and project facilities only . Cyber support is mainly through printed books and online materials on the product, which are good for study, but do not create a social or campus vibe, so overall campus life feels minimal
Admission
Choose a distance, BSC MPC over NSOU got seat there because cheaper 23K total VS, higher extra, strong PCM syllabus, better UGC recognisation for job SSC No rejection- distance as no entrance/cut-off, class 12th pass merit skip NSOU for AU flexibility+ nationwide Centre AU admission: online register 1K, approved 12th marks, TC, verify, pay tution.simple, no exam, done in weeks.
Faculty
Faculty are generally well qualified, explain concepts in simple language, and are approachable during contact classes and out session. The BSCSA3 years structure with core PCM paper plus languages, using an internal about 30% plus final exam about 70% pattern with passing 40% per paper. Exams are moderate difficult if you follow the materialand assignments, the cinema standard and for further studies and competitive exams in science field.
Night Life
No night life for Anand student since there are no campus hostel or late night facilities, Centre only weekend classes, Saturday, and Sunday, 9 AM to 5 PM and close early. No gym Cafe library stays open past 6 PM. After class McDonald's or Domino's kick bites or order resembling it and chill at home with fire gaming session one 2 AM favourite hangouts outside near last road at night No hostel timing because no hostels- flexibility, but feel lonely without college crowd.self manage routine work for working and gain life, but misses regular college parting
