Course Curriculum Overview
The course is up to date. Since biotechnology is an emerging field, we are taught new topics if relevant through webinars, events, conferences, and counseling. The curriculum is synced with the real world and hence it helps you stay connected to the real world of biotechnology.
Internships Opportunities
Big companies like Google and Cognizant come to university. Internships are offered timely and they can be both paid and unpaid, it depends on the company offering it. Several projects are given in both the course and in internships.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly fee structure is- academic fees= 1,00,000 exam fees= 15,000 academic fees include registration fees = 25,000 I'd card charges = 1,000 the scholarship is given to students who have opted for Galgotias University in competitive exams like CUET and students with cgpa 9.0+ can apply for a scholarship in 2nd year
Campus Life
Galgotias is known for its events. The campus life here is wild. Galgotias organizes several events throughout the year but majorly known are Prarambh ( welcome party ), Unifest, Freshers, Rang mahostav, and many more. The library here has a huge range of books and lets you have the say in choosing. Sports events and competitions are organised yearly
Hostel Facilities
You can choose hostels of 2 types- On-campus and Off-campus. On-campus might not have that good meal quality but the off-campus hostels offer good quality food and the menu keeps changing. The registration process is pretty simple, you just have to apply for it and upon reaching the university, you'll be alotted your hostel. The fees is affordable for both ac and non-ac rooms.
Admission
I applied to other colleges like Sharda and Jaypee but ended up choosing Galgotias. The reason behind this is, that Galgotias offers a vast platform for creative learning and the diversity in the university makes you fit in. If compared to other colleges, it is much more affordable and offers you a lot more than the others. The teachers here are dedicated to making the students have the correct and growing knowledge about our field. Admissions here are directs so you don't have to apply for an university exam however CUET can be helpful in getting in the college
Faculty
For each subject, there are 2 teachers allotted. 1 for the theory and the other for the lab. A few teachers like Prof. Somenath Roy and Dr. Shubhankar Anand are experts in their fields and their dedication to our community is something to discuss. There are 2 exams held per semester- MTE and ETE, between these comes the internal examinations. The difficulty of the exams are average and if studied properly, students will pass with flying colours
Night Life
the campus cafeteria has everything you can ask for. It has several options to choose from. There are 3 libraries overall the campus and the public are closes after 8. The campus hostel has several amenities like gym , playing area and many more. There are several malls around the area to hangout
