Remarks

The college is good only on terms of faculty. Rest like placements, job opportunities and course structure is very bad. If further anyone wants to make a career in Economics. Please don't take admission in this college. As they don't have the most important subjects needed in the Economics career and further studies.

Course Curriculum Overview

0.5

Course curriculum is very bad and the worse. Not at all practical. Only theory based. There are no subjects like Maths, Statistics, Applied mathematics , Econometrics, Applied Economics. All these subjects are very important for economics. But this college doesn't have even one of these subjects. All these subjects are taught in other colleges but we didn't have this. I really don't like the course curriculum here. Whatever we studied was not helpful. Very very basic kids level course curriculum. Thid college syllabus is just unfit for undergraduate level students. Because of this course structure there are no good jobs available if one does ba economics from this college

Internships Opportunities

This college doesn't provide internships. We have to apply it from our own externally. They don't provide internship opportunities. No internship opportunities from our college. If one wants to do an internship, they can apply on their own.

Placement Experience

0.5

Placements are very bad. No big companies come here to recruit. The companies recruit here only for BPO/ Backend process. There are no good job opportunities and job profiles. This college doesn't even call big companies to recruit here. Pathetic placements and job opportunities.

College Events

2.5

There are events like EXODUS, MIRA BAZAAR, TEKLOGICA which happen on college. There is sports day in college. In sports there is Karate, self defence, and Yoga. There are debates, quiz competitions, Painting competitions, poster making competitions, ganpati idol making competitions, maths quizzes and competitions

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is feasible and affordable. Not at all expensive. Fees have to be paid semester wise. Cheques are allowed and nowadays challan is also compulsory. Fees structure not do high. With ease can pay tne fees

Fees and Financial Aid

The college does provide good scholarahips and also they provide loan to the students who are in need. If a student tells in the office that they want to apply for a loan. The staff will guide you with the procedure to apply for a loan

Campus Life

3.5

We have very good Chemistry, Physics, and Biology lab. We also have a good library and a peaceful library. Can study there whole day. There is sports day in college. In sports there is Karate, self defence, and Yoga. There are debates, quiz competitions, Painting competitions, poster making competitions, ganpati idol making competitions, maths quizzes and competitions.

Hostel Facilities

2

The hostel infrastructure and facilities are very good and affordable. There is electricity that is provided and also food and water facility is good. No water shortage problem. Can stay in a hostel with good facilities.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumi is very helpful. You can ask them anything and they are ready to answer every question. The alumni answers all your question and they even give you career guidance and tell their stories like currently where are they placed, and further studies etc

Exam Structure

Exam structure is good. We have grade system as well as marks system. Whenever exams are approaching near, a notice and time table is put up on the exam cell board. All the backlog and regular exams time table are put up.

Admission

The process is itself in college. We just have to fill the admission form, take vice principal's signature and then pay the fees at the cash counter. It is an easy process. But there is a lot of line for admission. So have to wait atleast 1-2 hours to submit the form and get checked and then have to also stand in a long queue to get vice principal's signature. Short process but have to wait for a long time.

Faculty

5

Faculty is amazing. Very helpful. You can even call them at night during exams. Always ready to help us with our doubts. Very ecouraging and motivating. Faculty here is like our friends. We can ask them anything related to studies and they will always be able to guide us.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose sociology as my major as it is concerned with the society and moves to take down stereotypes, social issues, etc., something which i personally resonate with a lot. The curriculum prepares us for the real world in terms of living within the society. However, the discipline of sociology still does not offer secure jobs in the future. I suppose the curriculum could be improved through teachings using more examples which are unrelated to the topic but show a parallel side that can explain the concept. Due to NAAC, many of our assignments and tests were pushed all together in the previous semester. I hope thst is not the case with the current and the future semesters because it was very hectic and hard for us to complete the assignments but also study for the tests

IISM- Mumbai, is a sports Institute where students intrested in sports can take admissions be it man or women. It helps the students to get into the field of sports more conveniently. Being graduated or post graduated in sports is worth from here. I am having one of the best days of my life here.

Remarks:

They often tend to reschedule classes on the weekend due to attendance requirements. Moreover, there is a 85-75% attendance requirement for each course. If the attendance is till 85%, it is okay. Between 85-75% means there will be a final grade drop in that particular course, and below 75% is a repeat of the course.
