Course Curriculum Overview
Specific aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to opt for this course was providing 4 options for specialisation which are marketing , finance, production and operations and human resources management The curriculum prepares the student well enough to work in the outside world. They should keep updating the course outline as the world is moving too fast Exams are conducted every 2 months in the form of internal exam which is of 30 marks while external exam after two months of 70 marks.
Internships Opportunities
Only a few companies offered internship from which maximum were unpaid. Internship projects are compulsory and are evaluated by the faculties personally. Two projects are given during the course one at the end of each year.
Placement Experience
During 3rd semester companies start coming for placement and almost 50 Percent of the class was placed by the end of 3rd semester A lot of companies visited and almost 70 percent students were placed by the end of the program
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is very nominal compared to other mba collages. Fees for gia ( government aid grant) 1 year is 15k and it's a two year program so the total fees is 30k. Fees for boys may be a 2-4k extra. Gia has 40 seats.. All the charges including Tuition fees, caution fees, registration fees, admission fees, development fees, lab fees and the other compulsory charges during the course completion as per the category everything is included. Where as other 40-50 seats is of SFI ( self finance) is 80,000 per year which means for 2 year program the fees is 1,60,000. I'm not sure or aware of any scholarship being offered.
Campus Life
There were not much festivals organised only the holy festivals like Diwali, Holi etc were celebrated by students. The college did not organised any such events Sports days was organised between seniors and juniors and it was a really fun event Not much social groups, clubs, or student portals were created.
Admission
This college that I selected specifically was because of its return of investment and value for money. No other college offers mba with average package of 4-5 lakhs per annum with such nominal fees. I was very sure about this college that's why I did not opt for any other college
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is okay and faculty student relationship is also okayish. some of them are approachable while some are not The faculty I did not like was finance teacher her behaviour was very rude and lacks knowledge
Night Life
There is no night life around college only food will be available near by. Gym, cafeterias, library and public area are available close by There is a mall walking distance from the college and also a wide range of food chain options available near by. Vadodara does not have a night life culture but during day time one can enjoy good food and gardens
