Life in Ranchi Women’s College

It is a good college. Environmental atmosphere is good. The only thing which i hate is that the teachers favours few students more. Allover if the student is good in studies and most importantly if the student is active then the college will also provide great opportunities for her to excel.

For BBA, Syllabus is vast and it covers all the aspects of management. Topics are also included if needed. In BBA, there are 4 subjects and one extra subject which is compulsory to take. Generally it's englist and hindi of 50-50marks in the first four semester and in last 2 it's environmental science.

In BBA, in the last semester that is in semester 6, it is compulsory for every student have to do internship and present a file report. Students can choose any topic related to their specialization. Also students have to choose the companies which provide internships by themselves. They can take help of the teachers if they are having doubts.

If the student will not study and if she is not active about what is happening in the college she'll not get placed. The college don't tell about every events happening in the college. Teacher's tells about the companies which are coming for the placements and give all the details.

I don't exactly remember the names of every event but there are many events which are organised by the college by different departments. There is sports event, fashion event. One of the favorite event of students is the one which is oraganised by nift. The students are invited to come and participate in various programs of nift. Then blood donation camps are also oraganised by the college frequently.

According to me fees are not very high. It's approximately 1.3lakh for 3years including hostel and mess charges. Approx 15,000 is charged every semester as admission fees and 1000 for examination fees.

Scholarships are available for the lower casts. Forms are available for the students they can fill it and avail their scholarship. Loans facility is not provided by the college as the fees are not that high.

Labs are there, students can use it in the presence of teachers and sports activities often happens. NCC group is there. There is a good gym in the college students can use it before or after college. Faculty is always present in the gym.

There are two hostels in the campus itself. Rent is not very high so students can easily stay there and attend college. Mess facility is provided by the college canteen so the students will surely get good food.

If you're are connected with thesenior stidents they will surely help you otherwise people can call in college to get information. Also you can talk to the teachers of they need any help. Or you can ask the present students who are still studying there about the college.

The exam structure is divided into 2 parts for the main subjects. The first part is referred as mid term exam. It is of 20 marks in each subject. And the second part is referred as end term exams which is of 80 marks. The student have to get passing marks,i.e., 10 in mid term and 25 in end term. Also for extra compulsory subject students have to score 33 marks for passing in the subject. In the last semester the project which every student have to make is of 100 marks. 50 marks is given by the subject teacher and reat fifty is given by the external teacher which comes in college for the viva.

My name was there in the merit list and date, time and documents which i have to carry at the time of admission. So i went to the college with my documents. The ma'am who was sitting there first checked my name in the list amd then gave me a form to fill. Once i filled the form she verified the documents and submitted the xerox of the documents. Then she told me to give the measurements for my uniform(which is provided by the college). And then i submitted the total fees including the amount of my uniform, she gave me a receipt and that's it.

I can only tell about the faculties of BBA department. The faculties are nice, warm, supportive, very helpful. They give their numbers to the students so that if the students have any doubt about the course or in any topic they can just call them to clear it. Even if there is any confusion related to class, students can ask them. They are always their especially for the weak students.
