A complete review of GDCH Ahmedabad

The course is pretty much the go-to option after the bachelors degree. This college provides good patient flow with good enough guidance from the teachers to treat them. Understanding of the procedures proves to be vital in treating patients out in the real world after college.

1 year compulsory internship is to be completed after the course to avail the degree. This is a paid internship, around 18k per month. Interns have to be proactive in contributing their efforts for the department they're in.

20k per year is the fee one has to pay to the college. And 78k per month is the stipend that the college pays you. Hostel Fee is 1,200 per year. Canteen charges are also minimal with one time meals costing 60 rupees.

Annual College Fest is held around March/April. The festivals are celebrated by the students in campus but after the college hours, ofcourse. The students make good use of all the facilities in the campus like Box Cricket, Volleyball court, Table Tennis room, Badminton court, Chess room, Library, etc. Every department has its own library too with specific books & journals.

Basic facilities provided in the room. But the washroom is not attached, it is common washroom on each floor. Meal quality is fine, eatable, and affordable according to its taste. Hostel fee is affordable at 1200 rupees per year.

This college is top of the list in Gujarat. Also, this is the only option if one wants to do MDS Orthodontics from a government college in Gujarat state. Other branches intrigued me more, but the colleges in which I was getting them weren't as lucrative as this govt college.

Faculty to student ratio for Masters course is good. Students can approach the faculty members quite frankly and they teach us a lot. The exams in Masters course are 1st year annual exam & 3rd year annual exam. The latter one is one of the most difficult exams out there.

Unfortunately no nightlife. This is Gujarat, a dry state. Also there is no point in night outs as you won't be having as much fun as you could in tier-1 cities out there. Famous hangout places near the area are riverfront park.
