Dr.m.ilyas's Review On Government Dental College & Hospital - [GDCH], Ahmedabad

Gujarat board held exam (hsc) after 12 std at our time only that exam merit was done. After 12 science you have all choice whether to go in medical line or engineering line. Admission process starts with interviews at ahmedabad in which you have option to select medical or engineering linemy aim is to become doctor so i had select bds (dentist) course.

Four years of course which have yearly exam schedule which is followed by one year internship first and second year have theorical and practical knowledge not clinical knowledge. From third year clinical terms starts.Which is followed by one year internship.

College internship is one year year duration after passing final year in our time it's divided in 1or 2 months term for each department like prosthodontics, ortho, endo, oral surgery, od,perio, pedo in our time stipend offered is under govt and it's around rs 4300.

As you know it's medical field so one always try to do own practice .But still one want to job than they have higher chance. Than other colleges as this is very reputed college and one always use to select govt passing out students as they have higher patients exposure.

As it's govt college fee structure was vary low in our time it's rs 300 and for girls it was only rs 75 but now a days it bit increased at our time hostel fee is rs 66 per year.

I don't know but still some students gets government scholarships. I don't know their details as i don't have its experience.

Campus is very big as it's civil hospital campus which is one of the biggest campus in asia in this campus you can find doctors of every field eg mbbs , bds , physiotherapy. Campus had its sports ground in our time but i don't know wetherby it's still there or occupied with other building of hospital.

Hostel facilities were good with 3 beds in a room of 15

Exams are every year on yearly bases if one failed in exam than re exam will held every six months syllabus is one year base. Exam date was declared before one month and exam place before 4-5 days before exam practical date was announced during theory paper.

The faculty and standers of education is very good as it is first dental college in gujarat .Numbers of patients are also very much in number so we can have nice experience and exposure of patients.
