Vipulkumar Prajapati's Review On Government Dental College & Hospital - [GDCH], Ahmedabad

I took GUJCET. I got 52.08. It was only option left for me in councelling. Well i was fortunate enough because this college is oldest and best dental college of gujarat state.

Course was 5 years long with 4 years academic study and one year rotating internship program in my college. This is a bachelor course in dentistry course in basic which covers all the subjects related to dental fraternity.

Internships are always best part in medical and dental colleges. We have to deliver our service and learn different practices at different departments.

Job opportunities were minimum with zero placement. Dental field if overfilled with graduates and government is not taking this into account and giving permissions to opning of more new colleges day by day.

Saree day, freshers party, injury day various competitions like poster competition,rangoli competition and annual functions and cultural events.

Fees was reasonable and noe expensive. It was just 4000 indian rupees per year. But total expense of a student may reach up to one lac per annum including boarding, travelling, meal and all other instruments and stationery required.

College didn't offered any scholarship rather they have collected extra fees in name of gym khana from us. However government of gujarat do provided us scholarships and loans.

Labs were so old and ruining. Sports activity was minimum. There were some competitions and debates and programs organised by us. But college administration never took any active interest in such activities.

Hostel was just ridiculous no facility. Building was seized by government due to danger of falling down. We were obliged to rent rooms by our own to live. There was no mess or canteen available to us in college or hostel or campus.

Alumni is good but college is again doing injustice with them. College just recall them when in need of monetary benefit otherwise who are they for college.

Exam structure is according to university pattern theory and practicals. Theory papers were always before practical exams we need to arrange patients for our practical exam by our own.

Faculty was best at its part. All the teachers and professors were well-knowledgeable and with high intellect. They were so polite and best at teaching practically and theoretically.
