Likes

Good atmosphere and enough parking facilities
Canteen was very spacious and food was very good
Professors and lecturers was very kind and friendly

Dislikes

From entrance very long distance for classrooms
Sometimes classroom was not clean and neat
Infrastructures was not upto the mark and can be improved

Course Curriculum Overview

Specific aspects is course which I have taken had good past results . Everything was good. During my time advance technologies was not there but still it was good. Continuos class exams were conducted once in 2 weeks to upgrade ourselves.

Class Size: 35Course Fees: INR 40000 per year

Internships Opportunities

We did our internship in PVT LTD company and quite decent stipend has been given to me and my friends and we learnt a lot from that company, Manager was very friendly and teahed us everything. Even during our internship they even provided food to us.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total it was 6 semesters and per semester fees was around 30,000 to 40,000 for my particular course and fees was not increased at that time in 2004 to 2007. Whatever the fees mentioned was exactly covered .

Campus Life

They use to conduct annual festival and inter college competitions. Library was pretty good with ample of books collections. Sports and other things was not much focussed . No clubs were such formed FYI

Admission

I applied to Loyola college,vivekananda college but my marks was not upto mark . But past results for my course in this college was good so I chose this one. During my joining period there was not so much formalities for admission process.

Faculty

Faculties was very good and friendly towards students. Subbalakshmi mam I liked because the way of teaching is too good. Totally 6 semesters overall for the course and easy or difficult it depends upon the capacity of the students how they perform.

Night Life

College canteen and parking lot was favourite one we use to hangout with friends and yeah ofcourse it's a prime location and fully traffic area so no problem. I was not hostel guy so I cannot talk much about that FYI.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester students get campus placements. Highest ever is 80LPA i think from deloit or KMG. Mostly students get placements about 75% get placements. My plan after getting degree is clear CA inter and finals.

Placement is offered by this college, After finishing your 5th semester you are allowed to go for placement, Students are recruited to the companies like Infosys, Wipro,Zoho,TVS and from all top companies the optionis ours we can choose our favorite company. About 80% of students are getting placements the remaining 20% students are in intrested to do higher education.the highest package is upto 5LPA and average Package is 3LPA

Placement Experience:

The placements in sastra is immaculate they have nothing to complaint of .Students from my course given placement training and eligible for placements from third year. Large scale of campanies have visited. some of them will be Tata consultancy(TCs), Paypal, federal banks ,Infosys etc. The highest package was 90000 per month and average package was 25000 per month. Students who have 8.5 cgpa or more will have pretty good offer from reputed companies. Plans after getting my degree is to do masters in abroad.

A view on recent days MCC

Placement Experience:

In MCC there is placement but it's not 100% placement, only 10 to 20 from a class of 60 gets placed, so when it comes to placement it's upto to you and your skills. Normaly the placement enrollment starts at beginning of your 5th semester or end of your fourth semester, you can opt for placement or higher study. The highest package was from Standard Chartered & Deloitte it was 6 Lakhs CTC. Accenture, TCS and some well known companies will participate in placement drive. The average package will be Rs.3.5 Lakhs CTS. I'm planning to go for higher studies while doing a part time job after getting degree.

From the 5th semester onwards the management made various efforts to conduct oncampus And they made it. Some companies which visited our campus is tata groups , vindhya e infomedia, wipro etc. Highest package offered is 3,00,000 per annum most probably 80 % of students placed. My plan after degree is to place in good reputed company.

Positive is good atmosphere and campus Negative is we can’t enjoy the campus because whenever we cut a class the department cut our international mark and we can’t write exam without 75% mark

I choose DG vaishanvcollege for its strong academic reputation, affordable fees structure and excellent placement support especially in HR and marketing . So i applied LIBA ( Loyola institute of business management and SRM ) other than DG vaishnav college . I got acceptance from DGVC and SRM and i got regected from LIBA . I chose DGVC as it has affordable fees of 4 lakhs in total , also they are giving duel specialisations, also its affilated to university of madras , placement support and location advantage. I got rejection from liba as the cut off was not clear as my percentile was below 80 as the cut of was 85 plus. The admission process was quiet simple for DGVC as the - 1. Eligibility to apply was min 60 % in Bachelor degree 2. TANCET exam was preffed we have to submit the application through online portal of DGVC. Submit the TANCET score , it will shortlist accoding to the cut off , then we have a personal interview and final selection and documentation process...Read More
