Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculam was good , we have 4 sems and in 1st two sems all basic curriculam was covered as accounting economics and stats was main. then we had our electivs in a broader way to gain more knowledge and to get more focus

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees for the MBA in HR and Marketing is Rs.4 lakhs for whole 2 years, that is per year the tution fees is Rs. 2lakhs. Apart from the tution fees , there are some components that were added in our tution fees . which are - 1. Tution fees - 1,60,000/- 2. Admission and Registration fees- 5000/- ( one time) 3. Development fees- 10,000/-per year 4. Library fees- 5000/- per year 5. Caution deposit - 5000/- 6. other charges- 15000/- For other category like general, SC/ST , Management etc , the fees are catogarized like - 1. FOR GENERAL CATEGORY - Annual fees is 2 lakhs , so total fees is 4 lakhs ( full fees is applicatable) 2. FOR SC/ST CATEGORY- Annual fees is 1 lakhs to 1.5 lakhs , so total fees is 2 lakhs to 3 lakhs ( Govt subsidized) 3. FOR MANAGEMENT CATOGORY - Annual fees is 2.5 lakhs plus , so total fees is 4.5 laks to 5 lakhs ( higer due to quota) so one of my batch mate she entered in management quota and she got up a total fees of 4.75 lakhs as i entered in general quota so i ended up in giving an amount of 4 lakhs in total. Also there are some merit based ,Govt scholorships, private trust and NGO based scholorships also has college level scholorships that the management can wavie some amount from the fees but its first cum first method as it has limited seats

Campus Life

5

The overall atmosphere was so good and personally i felt a very positive vibes as there was a temple in our campus . The campus life was so good as we have so many fests , cultural programs , sports day , other extra curricular activits that engaged students other than the exams and studies for relaxing

Admission

I choose DG vaishanvcollege for its strong academic reputation, affordable fees structure and excellent placement support especially in HR and marketing . So i applied LIBA ( Loyola institute of business management and SRM ) other than DG vaishnav college . I got acceptance from DGVC and SRM and i got regected from LIBA . I chose DGVC as it has affordable fees of 4 lakhs in total , also they are giving duel specialisations, also its affilated to university of madras , placement support and location advantage. I got rejection from liba as the cut off was not clear as my percentile was below 80 as the cut of was 85 plus. The admission process was quiet simple for DGVC as the - 1. Eligibility to apply was min 60 % in Bachelor degree 2. TANCET exam was preffed we have to submit the application through online portal of DGVC. Submit the TANCET score , it will shortlist accoding to the cut off , then we have a personal interview and final selection and documentation process

Faculty

5

the student faculty ratio was 1 : 20 , it was quite good as our faculty members are well versed traied and more apporchable persons ,as if we have any doubts , we can go and clarify at any time as some of like Mrs. Amaleshwary , oru Deen , she was so approcable and calm person . And as a Deen of our college she shows how to manage and gave us tactical approches to the problmes we faced, Also Mrs. Kollamaal who was an expetional faculty which made us to learn in a easy way. We have only the university exams and in college we had our interral exams in form of assigements and GD

Night Life

5

our colleges are strict untill and unless there is a cultural activites of sports day activites students must stay , other wise we are not encouraged to stay in night as for the safty puporeses. Our dean was strict to that rule

Actually the student of last semester student only participate in campus interview in a campus interview. they will selected 15 to 20 people in a campus interview. they don't select all the people and they came from local companies near by Salem.village area companies like a factories like cement company , manufacturing companies soda packaging company like that company offered as management training for the one year they will provide 15 to 20000 there will be a increment and promotions on that manufacturing companies . the student selected in campus interview they was well educated student and well known student about the MBA concept and they didn't they didn't fail in any subject they clear all the papers and get the good marks even first class students they are better but my interest was in local companies so I choose to go in big MNC companies but in my college they don't offer campus interview for the big companies they call only local companion so I don't have interested at local companies.

Percentage of getting placed varies as here btech and other stream students can also sit with you for placement if they are eligible . Like that we can also sit. If we have knowledge

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are decent, especially when one talks about its authenticity and compares it to a lot of colleges in the country. We are associated with some good names like EY, Asian Paints, SBI, Vedanta, etc. The mean and median hover around 8.5 - 9.5 LPA mark. Last Highest: 15 LPA and Lowest: 5.5 - 6lpa. Roles offered may not be the best, but they are decent too.
